Thorn sigils exist but cannot be created. The Conjuration skillset died with the Druid class. Only Enchantment remains.
Was it an oversight? Or is it safe to assume then that an Enchantment counter part doesn't exist because thorn sigils are being phased out entirely once the last one decays?
Thorn sigils are purposefully being phased out of the game.

My guess is that it is intended. The Enchantment counterpart was, at one point in time, the knife sigil. Sometime after the release of conjuration the knife sigil was changed to its current incarnation - doubling the expenditure of tattoo touches in-room. At the same time, the cube sigil was changed from its function of destroying vibrations in-room to its current function of preventing sounds from being heard through wormholes. Thorn and dew sigil remained the same.
My guess is that we're not going to see the "unique" conjurations put into enchantment, despite requests for flame arrows or some equivalent.

So, I saw the thread where someone posted Enorian's CHELP about the Ylem Mist stuff and it says the artifact Ylem Gauntlet, the one for 350k(which I recently bought), has a higher chance to spawn ylem mists when things die. Is this actually the case? I don't really think I've seen more mists drop due to this thing.

What forged equipment do each of the various classes need/use? If people could shoot me a PM with info on their particular classes's needs, that would be great, so I can add it to the forging thread.

Armor Class
------ ------
No Armor Sciomancer, Ascendril, Bloodborn, Lycanthropes
Shields: While any class can use it, I believe Luminaries, Praenomen, Syssin, and Teradrim? benefit the most from it. Not entirely sure on this though.
Class Weapons
-------- --------------
Luminary N/A (We summon our own maces)
Sentinel N/A (I want to say they only need the Dhuriv and that comes with the skillset)
Shaman N/A?? (I want to say they only need their staves and that comes with the skillset)
Mage N/A?? (I do not believe they can use weapons with most of their skills) Hammer for shatter?
Cabalist N/A?? (Same as Indorani)
Indorani N/A?? (Small blades became obsolete when they got envenomable bone daggers in skillset I believe)
Bloodborn N/A?? (I want to say they craft their own Scythes)
Lycans N/A?? (I want to say they cannot use weapons with most of their skills while mutated)
Teradrim N/A?? (I want to say they craft their own whips and clubs/whatever now)
Monks N/A
Syssin Whip, Dirk
Praenomen Spear, Trident
Carnifex Warhammer, Bardiche, Halberd
Templar Everything?
I think that's everything.

Someone powerful says, "We're going to have to delete you."
Mages/Indorani/Cabalists/everyone uses maces or warhammers for shatter.
Teradrim use flails and (used to?) use croziers. Dunno if they summon them.
Rapiers have limited, specialist combat use.
Do vamps not use bastard swords anymore? I remember that was the go-to weapon for years.
They stopped when they realized Spears were one-handed and did more damage than bastards, so they could use shields too. Hence, the spear nerf.
Templars USED to benefit from every single weapon in existence, but due to the several nerfs/deletions of masteries...the only weapons Templars can use and still be worthwhile are Rapiers, Scimitars, Maces, Flails, MAYBE Bastards and Warhammers. The rest of the masteries are complete and utter crap, and aren't worth using. Anyone who does is bad, and should feel bad.
That goes without saying, the Staff, Dirk/Dagger, Spear/Trident, Bardiche/Halberd, and Whip masteries were removed. They had all these because Templars were released with the promise that they would be able to, quote, "Viably use any weapon in combat as masters of all weapons." Sadly, that got taken away because the class was horribly designed. There was also the promise of viable two handed weapon routes to be usable too, but again, that also flopped due to horrible class design.
Now all a Templar is...well, they're just Paladins with Empowerments, and previous rites/devotion abilities were just reworked into the form of blessings/auras. They're just a really bland class to play, and that's why I refuse to touch them.
"And finally, swear to Me: You will give your life to Dendara for you are Tiarna an-Kiar."
Bastard is viable for praenom, after the spear change. Sacrificing ~7% cut/blunt audit for close to 1k damage that matches dwhisper is what I do. I only use spear now if I really need the tower to tank phys and usually damage does better for me than less than 10% mitigation.
The forged flails are much better, I sell a lot of them in Bloodloch.
Carnifex failing since 2011. Fixes coming Soon ™

Is there some special process to swapping between bear and wolf that won't result in me wasting my lessons if I spend them before I actually do switch?
Random question. Are we allowed to post in The Exchange forum about selling, say, Magic the Gathering cards in exchange for Aetolia credits?
