    I wish this state would make up it's freaking mind when it comes to the weather.  This week it's been single digits during the night and then around 60-70 during the day.  It was 57 today and now its going to be like 24 tomorrow and then back up to the 70's over the weekend.

    If this was some kind of a big corporation / chain company this would not pass (I would hope) but wow, there is nothing to do about it in this instance.

    No... no thanks, I would rather remain tolerant and accepting. Hngh. Why do these people still exist and spawn to instill their brood with these thoughts?!

    Just feeling overly panicked, deer-in-the-headlight, hopeless, and emotional lately. I almost broke down in tears during a conversation with a patient that was contesting a legal phrasing in our HIPAA contract. Routine stuff.

    Haven't been around to play Aetolia the past week very much, if at all, because of unexpected things cropping up in my life. I only have so much energy to give, so I'm sorry to those I'm leaving waiting on me for something. Hopefully I'll be back and able to go again.

    Work. And I haven't been there in the last 3.5 weeks.

    Turns out:

    1) Nobody in HR works. Ever. 10 days of phone calls and messages, but no return phone call. If I can't extend my FMLA, I am going to be an unhappy camper.

    2) Nobody in Operations has any clue what the ADA is. And then they want to play games they are going to lose, horribly. They also don't answer their phones and then say you're evading communications and send you certified mail to prove they contacted you, and then feel it is necessary to CC the ARVP. Hokay. We can play stupid games. I have a big bag of stupid prizes to award.

    3) They expect you to do a bunch of work stuff while on FMLA and not getting paid. So I'm going to go ahead and invite them over to mow my lawn this summer and not pay them and see how that turns out.

    Just goes to show, folks, that money does not make you smart, nor do you need to be smart to make money!

    I want to attend meets, hang out with interesting Aetolia people, have a good time. However, IronCon has a tendency to be scheduled in July and that's about the time when airline ticket prices skyrocket. A ticket to the States anytime during the second half of the year is about twice the price compared to the first half (which is still about a month's rent worth).
    Maybe, if I'm lucky, I might be able to come over for some form of organized meet at some point, but I'd prefer if it was during low season. :(
