So, I watched Guardians of the Galaxy for the first time on Saturday. I was like "Yeah that was good" and didn't really think much else. It is now Monday and this is the fifth time I have watched it.
Last night I attended the premiere event party for Tales from the Borderlands at the Alamo Drafthouse. There was fun swag (d20 dice with the Vault symbol in place of the 20, Handsome Jack masks, siren tattoo sleeves, etc), we all got codes for free season passes for the game, we got to meet the folks from Gearbox, Telltale Games and Nerdist, and not only did we get to watch them play through the first (AWESOME) episode of the game, but all the decisions were made by the audience as we yelled out our choices. It was so much stinkin' fun.
The absolute highlight of the night, though, had to be when I played wingman to my buddy and helped her get the number of the cute waitress a few rows down. Victory for all.

I don't mind...it was the second year, and I wouldn't have made it very far with that group, anyways. I was just kinda doing it to see if I could do it, ya know? -Patrick AKA Rivas
I spent like a whole afternoon watching every episode of early auditions for season 2 of American Idol but I don't think he was bad enough to make it on TV.
Realizing that most everything is set and ready for my wedding. Then having it hit me that we've got another 300+ days to go! Can't be -too- excited right? At least everyone we've talked to so far has said we've done a good job at being ahead of the game!
New job's been pleasantly busy as heck, scrambling to get products/website updates pushed out before Black Friday. Celebrated the start of the holiday by buying myself some Thai for dinner (and a delicious weekend of leftovers) from a new restaurant near my house. Garlic chicken, spring rolls, ginger chicken, pad thai. Pinot grigio. Sweeeeeet chiiiiiliiiiii sauuuuuuceeee.
$20. And I already ate one of the spring rolls cuz I'm a hungry bish. These are Southern California prices, too.
For giving me the best Thanksgiving morning EVER. Got to sit here with my coffee and read over eeeeeverything that went back and forth last night. I admit it was a bit aggravating at first, but when I sat and thought about it... Man, I just had to laugh -really- hard.
I love arriving at a school to substitute for someone and I'm greeted by name by some students in the corridor. And when they ask if I'll be their substitute teacher and look all disappointed when I tell them I'm not, it feels really good. I think it means I'm doing something right, right?
Also, getting personal calls from schools to check if I'm available rather than them running it past the central first. I'm getting more and more hours in. Only downside is that I have a hard time being online when most others are.
Basically got called a 'supervisor' at work the other day. After a painstakingly terrible day too. On top of that, surprising a client that came in today, after he asked how long I've worked on 'this stuff' and told him two years.

It's fun, but having to replay the first 25 hours makes me grumpy.

Someone finally had the kind of bulk I was looking for!
Preferably with int/magic_potence artis.
Also, I designed and built a shelving unit the other day! Me, the least practical person on Earth! (It's even still standing)

I hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving, and eating lots of yummy stuff! No one should be going hungry today.
But good on you though. It's healthy.

My town is a total bomb for getting anything outside of Italian (or fast food), so finding a little hole in the wall Chinese place is totally awesome.
