After 3+ weeks of dismal job searching for QA engineer jobs, I go "Eh, why not" and applied on a whim today for a creativish writing position. The management want to have coffee with me tomorrow.

Not necessarily a job, but man it feels nice to get to get some validation that I have *some* skills and to see a potential employer interested in me.

Knew a guy who got a big disability settlement, was splashing thousands on IRE a few years back. Yeah, he's pretty much in borderline poverty last I checked, wasted the opportunity, etc.
