Valid, I just tend to not bandwagon without solid evidence, it makes for a sloppy play.  As much as it may be justified by some voices, look at how many dead rellyw we have because of it.  I know my suspicions in my votes may only be a hunch, but still things rub me the wrong way and I will stick to my guns.  I hope next day round makes for a better turnout.
  • Woh- I've clearly missed something very important. When did we confirm Periluna as a townie?!
Was that a syssin sniff that was revealed and I completely missed the post?

  • She was sniffed way back on like page 5 or something, but that doesn't prove a thing really with the role changing and the indorani's wildcard both able to hide from syssin.

  • Yar. It doesn't necessarily prove anything except that she was sniffed and it got passed along and then she immediately stopped participating.

Given the lack of other information, I'm still tossing her on the probably rellyw list. And I double checked my notes, Aarbrok did vote every day. It's just a huge pile of vote switching so I managed to miss when I was reviewing things.

  • If it helps anyone who doesn't have the time to dig through 19 pages of this nonsense, here is what I have for vote/logic patterns. It does not include back and forth chatter. Just actual votes and the basic logic behind it. Names are listed in order of the vote. So the targets are as they appeared in the thread and those voting for them in order of their vote in the train.  I included night round actions and messages from the warden/other anon messages (except the one we all pretty much decided was faked). And if anyone spots discrepencies, they are probably due to holyfreaking19pages. Just point them out and I'll go verify/fix if necessary.

    Day 1 - Round 1

Moirean pushes for no lynch. No logic because there really wasn't much the first day except the debate over whether or not a random vote was better than no lynch.

    Players voting against:
    Alexina
    Vharen
    Sarita
    Demarcus

    Players voting for:
    Macavity

    Night 1 - Round 2

No lynch occured during the day.
Moirean was jailed and Indorani attempted an attack. Conclaves went after her, apparently? This doesn't seem to have been explained at any point other than that vague message.

    Night 2 - Round 4
    Sarita became Toz.
Aren was vivisected by Indorani. Confirmed Townie.
Warden says - Indorani got Aren. Nature targeted Macavity. Science investigated Macavity.
Dhasan of Art switched Demarcus and Llok at night

^^ he speaks.....LYNCH HIM!!!!    Just kidding!  heh

But seriously though, are the night people going to get their stuff done so we can move on to another round of 50 pages of notes for a day round??  lol

  • Day breaks, and the mob awakens. A few of them, for lack of anything better to do, try ramming the barred gates into the Grand Hallway, but it's no good - they're sealed fast. The Ankyreans have absolutely no intention of losing their hold on their populace. Pedantic Pete and a couple of others circle the perimeter of the Basilicas, and are almost done when they stumble across a grisly sight.

    "That's..."

    "A lot of blood."

    "It is."

    "Well then."

Moirean has been gruesomely vivisected. She was the Vigilante.

It is now Round Nine - Day.

    Welp, have fun.
  • @Omei Can we get a number on how many votes till lynch for this round.

  • Well, that was expected.

Could we get the full report from the warden this round, then? Still anonymous, since we don't know what the Dis the jailer will do, but we need it all so the other roles can fact check you.

  • This round, you will require at least ten votes for a lynch.

  • Ahhh crap. I'm surprised Moi wasn't protected. At least we know for unicorns certain was can trust what she was saying before...

Do we have another spokesman willing/trustable to step up and pass along the warden's info, or at least an anonymous shout out...

    Or something?

  • I don't think we have another trustable spokesperson. The only one (sort of) confirmed is Periluna, and that could have been a misread because of the assorted abilities that allow fiddling with information. The only other confirmations we have are people who are dead. We either have to trust that the Peri info was correct, and hope she actually -plays- and responds, or pick someone we think is reasonably trustworthy (ha!) to serve instead.
    imageimage
  • I am hoping that Moirean was able to give the information to the warden who the syssin was and vice versa, that way they can at least work together from the background and work towards lynching off the scum. Right now the warden's anon msgs are the only thing we have to work on for now as anyone who speaks up to represent will most likely be either completely untrusted or shot down quickly. Whomever the jailor hit last night has not a conclave othewise Moirean would have not been the only one killed. So the jailor should not nor the warden bring up who that was for the saftey of that person. Unless the jailor hit the indorani and the syssin also targetted that person with the last few rounds all we have to go by now is previous trains and work from scratch.

I'm not. The Jailer specifically stated he thought Moirean was Conclave. If there is any truth to that, they would likely avoid trying to protect Moirean because they thought they'd be helping the enemy. Moirean specifically said we had to work together. Nobody wanted to take any sort of a reasonable gamble on that. Now we're in a pickle.
  • Sigh. Played so badly.
  • It doesn't do -us- any good to not-be informed of what the night rounds entailed! It's much better to have some semblance of an idea that "okay this person is most likely not a conclave member, so we know who to rule out, though they aren't a confirmed good-guy" than for the power roles to keep all the information to themselves, possibly get killed off, and then never have the information out to us at all!

Besides, there's no good reason for the indorani to kill off those people unless they're being treated like spokesmen like Moirean was. They're a good fall-back to accuse of being one of them in the day rounds, so it is beneficial for them to keep post-jailed folks alive.

Unless we're keeping them a secret because we're just jailing power roles to keep them safe at night. In which case, nevermind, ignore everything I said.

  • Moirean was a fairly confirmed lifer. We had a few people, to varying degrees, not fond of trusting her - but only one super-vocal person comes to mind.

    Vote: Minarael

She argued against trusting Moi without 'more evidence' - and while it's kind of high profile for an Indorani or Conclave, I wouldn't put it past them. She's an aggressive player, and getting people to not trust Moirean as a malicious gesture seems like a strong-arm gesture to me.

  • That might be a valid point, if I hadn't said repeatedly over the last few days that I -did- actually trust her. She was the only 'confirmed' on my list except dead people.

    Aryanne
  • Yeah, Mina had Moi and Peri on her "confirmed lifers" list in that bigunicorns post she made before the more recent bigunicorns post. While, I suppose should could have been doing that in order to start looking complacent, it not only seems like too much posting-effort for such a ploy (seriously, do most people actually take notes when they play this?!), but also doesn't at all support the "strong-arm"ing maliciousness you're implying.

  • You were arguing with her on page 13 at least, well beyond when most people had more or less accepted her spot - you only backed down once it was brought up a few times. Additionally, you're one of the more aggressive (as I've said), in a game dominated by super-quiet or super-aggressive. You're pointing fingers at quiet, and being loud yourself. While this is perhaps understandable, there's something distinctly worrisome about it - where better to hide than in the noise?

  • That was a convoluted response, heh. Page 13, I believe, was when I brought up the devil's advocate argument that if the jailer wasn't trusting her, snarking was probably not going to encourage trust? I wasn't saying she was untrustworthy, just trying to point out that her tactic was probably not going to win over someone who was having doubts. I was briefly worried after she was attacked, jailed, and targeted by everyone that it was a ploy, until I went back and reviewed the skills of the Conclaves. I concluded that it was a very, very slim possibility that she was Conclave, but the method by which that could be explained was too convoluted. Since I know Moi is intelligent, I didn't think she'd follow such a ridiculous tactic, were she actually Conclave.

Since the first night, I've trusted her.

I am honestly examining everyone, loud and quiet. Yes, I'm aggressive and noisy. That's pretty much par for the course for anything I do. Get worried when I clam up.
    imageimage
  • Well then, that sucks. Will wait for a warden report before deciding what next.

  • AarbrokAarbrok Breaking things...For Science San Diego, CA
I am tentative to agree with Toz, but I want to wait to see the report due to my need for evidence, although once again my gut feeling is going to be stated to be in agreement with him at this juncture, regardless of retracting to agree, she was the most vocal..
  • Unless it comes from Periluna I don't think there is anyone we can trust. The actions of our rellyw power roles so far have been awful and have basically led, barring some great amount of luck, to a faction win.
  • I know I keep saying this over my last few posts, but work has had me absolutely pooped. Even my play time in Aetolia has suffered. Greatly.

Now that said, I can, and with certainty, claim my own innocence. I -think- the jailer believes me as I was apparently jailed on the second night, I believe. Whenever the Syssin or whomever said I was innocent (rellyw). Oddly enough, I think it was left out of the Warden's reports. Not sure. I can be trusted to be a medium if so needed.
  • Now that said, I can, and with certainty, claim my own innocence. - This sentence cracks me up.

Though I'd be inclined to trust Peri as a new organizer. We -need- someone. Might as well be the only other person that seems to have been cleared.
    imageimage
  • Based on Mina's voting patterns as recorded by herself, she has been one of the loudest while never pushing a vote first, typically piggybacking onto the logic of someone else (usually in agreement with me). That could be left up to indecisiveness, her utter love of my manly manliness, or great minds thinking alike, but Mina is...not the most amenable to the opinions of others. She is also one of the people with the most vote changes.

She was not incredibly against Moirean, but she did seem to be the one nudging the most elbows to not put complete trust in her. A slight distrust was good and necessary without 100% proof, but even if you assume she was in a Conclave, both the Indorani and the other Conclave members would have reasons to discredit her, the Indorani having a slightly stronger lean towards doing it.

With the jailer having said he was going to use his ability at random and proving it, I could imagine the Indorani deciding to take a shot at getting rid of her. They'd be wanting her to be a Rellyw, but taking out a Conclave member wouldn't have been horrible either. With killing Moirean that night in mind, I would have spent the previous day round making myself a bit more supportive to Moirean if I had been a dissident previously.

    Sorry, babe!

    Vote: Minarael
