So I happened upon a lesser today, with four people on it. Figuring you know, how could I kick four people off a lesser and take it. Carnifex, Sciomancer, or Indorani and what would be best for this. Was looking at 2 lumi, templar, and ascendril. As I was thinking of what to do, to my horror I was taught that the ascendril was actually a monk and I was pulled into this:
Clasping his hands onto your head, Daskalos injects a wave of heat through his palms and into your skull, causing your forehead to burn and your vision to swirl with
Clasping his hands onto your head, Azton injects a wave of heat through his palms and into your skull, causing your forehead to burn and your vision to swirl with
Hordes of screaming demons whirl around you, draining your resolve.

As the last of your life force fades, you reach out to the soul trapped within your chest. A piercing howl splits the air as you consume it into your being,
supplementing your own fading soul as you are ripped back from the brink of oblivion. Your vision clears as you rise once more, whole and intact.
Your soul_substitute defence has been stripped.

So he suggested I put the kelp afflictions ahead of stupidity and impatience because curing those first set me up for an easy lock against vampires stacking kelp. Haven't fought him since the reorganization of kelp ahead of stupidity/impatience but I went and sparred @Rammus to no avail.
I'd hit and run the ghast until it's dead and then shield if they get too far ahead in affs and let angel cure and bliss do its thing, but that's just me.

I can't shield all day though or I'd never get anywhere. And bliss is dangerous. It's a 6.50 equilibrium loss. God forbid they give me confusion just before I use it cause then it'll be 13 seconds EQ loss.

Someone powerful says, "We're going to have to delete you."
With your passive healing from the angel, Lumis usually cure perfectly fine through vampires even with the ghast. Haven your problem against vampires is your cure order. You aff priority makes it super easy to take you to pound town, hold your down, and ravage your brown.

Praenomen are an odd class in that two consecutive ghast paralysis ticks can win the fight completely. I am not exactly sure how you are getting overwhelmed so fast with Angel Care though, there has to be an inefficiency or extra long limiter somewhere in your curing.
Your offense just seems all over the place. You go from aff to aff and attack to attack. You should really just be using impatience, paralysis, stupidity/self-pity over and over until the impatience sticks, then move on from there. That severely hinders their curing potential and will cause slowdown to their offense as well via hindering with affs, preventing yourself from getting killed so quickly. Doing recklessness without impatience, for example, is kind of meh since it can just be focused. A random asthma/haemophilia combo won't do you much good either as you lose your impatience masking aff from Chasten and also have asthma be pretty useless since it will be instantly cured. Haemophilia is a more-or-less useless aff to you.
Aff classes are heavily momentum-based. You need to work past their tree/renew while bashing them over the head with impatience until it sticks, thus disabling focus. Stupidity and self-pity are your affs to accomplish this; they both cure before impatience. This allows you to gain ground with your other affs. It's like a snowball rolling down a hill; it's very hard to stick the first few affs to get the ball rolling, but once they are on you will gain speed very quickly. This is also why things like fitness and passive curing screw over aff classes so hard, because they will have worked extremely hard to get those key affs on, and then wiping one of them out just topples the entire foundation. Affs stack and feed off each other; if you take away the base of a stack, then all the affs above it as well as whatever cures that aff was denying all have their effectiveness stripped.
This is also why I argue that aff classes basically need automation. You have to have the information processing and reflexes of a God to be able to assess what they've cured and set your next combo in the most efficient manner. One misstep will unravel the entire thing.
As far as aff rates go, Luminaries are right on par with vampires at 1 aff/second. Their range of affs is smaller at the return of a better mana insta, the ability to drain more mana, a win button if a lock happens even just for a bit (Hellsight), and a way to capitalize on excessive aff stacking without locking (Overwhelm). IMO almost all of your combos should involve the shield (all the important affs are in Battle/Chasten, and paralysis is the best aff in the game), hence why I think Dex + Crown is the better choice, but everyone seems determined that Wise is better, so I dunno.
A lot of the things required to actually lock people are based on equilibrium: dazzle, purity, and the sears, all the things to do to push the affliction rate above and beyond are based on equilibrium. That's why wise is usually a bit better for afflictions. However, with the change back to having shields effected by + balance makes limb breaking people incredibly easy to set up things like judgement/brainsmashing. only problem is most people that go dex don't bother using EITHER of those instants. Shatter is another thing to weave into your offense when you manage to break an arm against most classes or get a transfix. So often I get transfixed by luminaries in retardation who realized HEY WE CAN SPAM TRANSFIX HARDER THAN YOU CAN. And then they do absolutely nothing with it, and it ends I actually cure more because they're dumb than them gaining ANY momentum.

The thing is, Luminaries suffer hardcore from the problem of not being able to stick asthma. Evoke Sear seems pretty shitty, 15s of disabling tree when tree is 10s balance anyways, so it stops it once. Instead of using eq to stop 1 cure, I'd rather just smack them with 3 affs in that time. You will rarely get to the point where you have to use Dazzle to complete a lock since the heavy lifting happens before that point. If it's at the point where you need confusion, you've pretty much already won anyways and the eq time on it hardly matters. It does put a hamper on you using confusion as a general aff in your combo, as it's a useful aff, but IMO the amount of times you do your battle/paralysis/chasten combo is way more than the amount of times you would be doing anything else.
I don't actually think delivering slickness is what stops Luminaries from sticking Hellsight (you can battle anorexia/slash slickness at like 2s, probably faster actually, which doesn't slow you down at all despite not being able to Chasten), it's that their asthma is so hard to get to stick. Their asthma shield attack really sucks since it doesn't let you Chasten and is paired with crappy haemophilia. They can still force it on because they give passive weariness through Evoke Shadow but that involves some guesswork. Personally I probably wouldn't bother going for locks on a Luminary unless all the stars align somehow, and instead would just focus on overwhelming them with affs so I can overwhelm them with Overwhelm.
