You also had Zion (Lycan) hitting you with limb damage as well as Belgarion (Templar pushing bruising and limb damage) on you at once. What did you expect?

I think what he was pointing out was that he was insta-killed with damage from 46% health. Templars basically have an incinerate that can be used off-balance, which is pretty absurd, given their damage output.

Hrm. The bit about off balance is powerful but I wouldn't call it 'stupidly whoreish'.

I don't see any damage dealing unleashes in that log.

It's no worse than Carnifex being able to use a hound to keep you prone and skewer not clearing on the disembowl clone. Don't get me wrong, I think both of the Knight classes need whacked, I'd just hate to see one get it without the other.

That final hit was Rupture - a lot of damage if you have critical bruising on the targetted limb.

^^ Yea. If you keep critical bruising off, you can avoid it. The thing is most people just use the games bruising messages in aff view, which I feel is a mistake. Use the messages not in aff view and you'll handle it better.

This is correct.

If your system relies entirely on affview, I can think of a number of classes that can take advantage of this fact. Templar is one of them because of the reason listed above by Daskalos. Lycanthrope also comes to mind.

It's a decent argument to separate out levels of bruising in aff_view though I think. I can't see any reason not to except for added and imo unnecessary, complexity.

I asked for it when the class came out, didn't get it, so just coded around it. But anytime you get to moderate bruising, fix it immediately instead of waiting. The problem is, since light_bruising, critical_bruising, and moderate_bruising all have limb_bruised as the same aff msg, people put them too low in their cure order (as they should, because light_bruising isn't as important as limb breaks) but once they escalate, you need to cure them differently.

+1 for aff_view bruising affs. I suggested it to Serrice a while back and I still think it's a good idea. Most affs that build still have multiple entries in aff_view.

Someone please tell me if I have a broken limb (jecis break), and I attempt to cure bruising with orbis, will it fizzle?  If the answer to this is yes then all of this is totally irrelevant.

medium bruising is blocked by a resto break, I believe critical isn't.

Critical bruising can be cured over a restoration break, as long as you apply directly to that limb (ie, if you apply to left leg it will cure, if you apply to legs, it will not). A bit clunky, but there you go. Other types of bruising can't be cured while you have a restoration break on that limb.

I'd definitely have to say that if I were you, I really wouldn't be upset. You had more than one person hitting you, which realistically shouldn't be survivable. Don't get me wrong - Templar damage was high. Was. But even now, if more than one person is hitting you, you have to be a really lucky, and a really quick sumbitch to get away. 

Alternatively, if you want to talk about a combo being 'stupidly whorish', you should consider how the shadow side has their own gnarly combos that get used on a frequent basis. For example - how powerful hangedman is when paired with Carnifex skewer. Some classes have extremely nasty combos when paired with others. It seems a bit hypocritical to point fingers at how 'stupidly whorish' one combo is when you yourself are using one that can be classified under the same category. 

That aside: Belgarion tossed a javelin at me, and then another right after that. He tells me, "What the f***. I could kill you right now." I'm like, "Uh...how?" He's like, "Javelins are broken like crazy." I'm like, "Pfft. Broken how?" He's like, "I just uh...won't use them until they get fixed. But, I could seriously kill you right now."
