I'm feeling a little better.  New medication seems to be helping.  I'm doing better during the day, almost like a normal person, and lasting longer at night.  Never a 100% day, but sometimes I can get away without taking my Xanax.  Here's me getting my hopes up.

Went to the casino. Won. Bought an Xbox One and new TV to play on out of the winnings.

The thing is, go in with the mindset that you're giving away the money in your pocket, so you start the day at '0'. Then,  put in $20 at a time. When you win big, cash out and put the ticket in your pocket. I went with $500. After the first hour, I had $600 in tickets in my pocket and $350 in cash left. I was guaranteed up $100 at that point. Then I gambled away the other $350, but turned that into another $1000. I lost it down to about $700 when I called it quits because I decided 'oh crap I have enough to buy a TV and XBONE'. Since I had already written off the $500 I started with as loss, It's a net gain of only $800, but a TOTAL gain of $1300 since I didn't plan to get my own money back. Also, to hit it big, you have to play max bets -- which, on the penny slots I won  most of mine on, was $3 a pull.

As someone who's lived in Las Vegas for the vast majority of his life, and despite doing his best to avoid gambling too much, let me just say that Dask has a brilliant outlook and tactic in regards to it. If you're going to gamble, do it this way.

I am super cheap and I don't enjoy throwing money away, so I rarely gamble. However - every time I have gambled, that's how I've done it and I've hit jackpots most of the times I've gone and walked away with double or more what I started with. Nickle machines usually. Hello 10k.

Edit - Totally taking my mom for my next outrageous commission check. I want the comped all you can eat seafood buffet. -daydreams-.

Seriously those 1 cent machines are where you win big. Last time I went in I put $60 in to pass the time while I was waiting on a buddy. By the time he got there, I had $800. I got really really really drunk that night. ^_^

Much <3 to everyone who turned out to the Spirean feast. It turned out to be rather successful, especially with a really cool surprise from the Grecht up north. Thanks to everyone who helped out - I had a ton of fun!

So much love to Amazon's customer service. The free shipping had my new laptop arriving next week sometime, meanwhile the current one is dying slowly and painfully. I explained the situation on the virtual chat they have, and asked how much it would cost to upgrade to two-day shipping so that I could get it here faster.

    "Representative:

    Thanks so much for waiting.

I've upgraded your shipping method to one day shipping for free and your Guaranteed Delivery Date: Thursday, March 6, 2014."

    @Slyphe

Amazon is awesome. Someone stole a package from my doorstep, and Amazon shipped me a free replacement with no questions asked. If more companies had customer service like Amazon, the world would be perfect.

  • Thirding the Amazon love. The last package I ordered, I accidentally bought two of the same book. I contacted them about shipping it back and they just gave it to me. I've also had them ship out replacements for stolen merchandise.

Force watching Initial D has turned into fan girl enjoyment of Initial D. Which is possibly both bad and good for me.

I am super fascinated by the technical accuracy of this show.

Finally getting a weekend off at work next week. Going to the movies on a suitable day and time finally, awww yiss.

edit: Nevermind, I live in the middle of nowhere and The Grand Budapest Hotel is considered a limited release. At least I got my weekend off. :(

I'm now registered with the Disability Services Office at uni.  This means:  I can miss classes (to a certain extent) and they have to count it as excused and allow me access to everything I missed.  I can go to school half-time and still be officially counted as a full-time student (this is important in a lot of legal bs).  They can't bully me about graduating in two years.

A handful of other stuff as well.  Additionally, I can come up to the DSO once a week and they'll discuss the week with me, help me make a plan and go over things that upset and stress me to help me better deal with them.

This isn't a love, because I'm not looking forward to it -at- -all-, but I'm also joining their support groups.  The theory is that seeing that other people are just as effed up in the head as I am will make me feel like less of an outcast or something like that.  I don't want to go, but my psych pretty much didn't give me an option.

Summary:  I'm trying really hard to improve my life.

My dads jokes are either so dumb you can't help but laugh or they are Grade A, and it's actually been making work more bearable when I show up in the morning and he's just ripping away at people. ^_^

Was dreading getting a payment arrangement on my electric bill because it required a down payment and I have zero cash at the moment. Got a really cool rep on the phone who effectively skipped it for me, and now we can pay our power.

Love the book Odd Thomas, even if the writing makes me want to punch the author sometimes.

Also love the Swype feature on my Android phone's keyboard. I can type as fast on my phone as I can with a keyboard, it's ridiculous.

I still haven't read the last\s?(?:two)? books?, but I did love the ones I've already read. I'm a big fan of Dean Koontz.
