    @Irruel The mobs I was having to run on were the warriors. Can do the sentries if I run, too. But the masters-at-arms, and harem girls kill me to death with room damage if I don't run and stay gone. >.>

    It's not super annoying because I don't really bash, hate bashing, and without any reward from bashing I actually want/need, I don't really care all that much, just, vaguely rage-inducing that I couldn't bash there if I wanted to, when I have a level 2 enhancement, level 2 con artifact to help me out in a class that's supposed to be fairly tanky.

    ETA: Unrelated, I rage that these racial things take -four- to complete, considering their rarity and variety. :/

    I rage that my amazing 4 year old laptop with all my Aetolian/Imperian code is breaking down slowly. So much so that recently, my USB ports stopped working :( One is broken completely and the second won't register anything but a webcam or ipod (if I'm lucky)..... and I have no idea how to fix a USB port. :( This makes me mad and sad because now I have no way of backing up everything I need to, in order to use a new laptop because I can't get the remaining USB port to work. -insert paradox here- =.= Just makes me so mad and so sad.

    Depends on the laptop, but it's a separate board from the motherboard that you can open up the laptop and replace pretty easily. Or, it's a soldering job..and that's probably not worth it if you don't know what you're doing. Even if you can't use your USB to backup, you could look at removing your HD and finding a SATA-to-USB conversion kit to hook it up to another computer via USB and grab the data you need. They're pretty cheap on Amazon or Newegg.

    My laptop is a soldering job to replace them. I'd do it, but I'd be abit hardpressed to do it with absolutely 0 knowhow. I might take a look at the SATA->USB kits and see about doing it that way. Thanks Solaria :)<3

    My mud scripts live on dropbox, no backing up ever needed. Makes it easy to sync settings between computers too.

    This is easy to achieve for both mudlet and cmud. Not sure about mush/tf though.

    And FYI - no symlinking is needed.

    I have a penthouse dropbox thanks to people on IMVU clicking my referral link. It's glorious.

    Edit: And, related, that's where I write all my crafting designs, I have everything I've ever submitted in a few text files on there, Areka. Handy!

    I use Dropbox for my cross-computer stuff (my crafting spreadsheet hardcopies/more fancy/indepth/prettier ones, pictures of references, etc). Hi5.

    It is really dumb that Mudlet crashing makes that globe buff go away. Those are really neat and it's all wasted!

    Considering their rarity and expensiveness, I think they should really persist through crashing and death--and maybe even pause on logout like chocolates do. Death would still bring a penalty--you'd lose however long on the buff you spent recovering your body/returning to where you were.

    I just wish I could do like...RPMODE and pause all my buffs. I want to emote, but the chocolates decay and I have to eat them and now I have to bash and aaaaahhhalp it's been 7 hours-

    Very true, could give chocolates to some novice and send them bashing. Quite a few of the people on the lifer side of things do that because they don't wanna go bashing.

    I remember trying to explain to my mum how serious Aetolia was, once, when I was very fifteen.

    "Well you see, mum, there's this game- yes, the one that's made of words- and I interact with it in words, but I can pay money and get special words that I wouldn't be able to get otherwise. Well, no, they're not imaginary words or anything, it's just they say I'm doing things and... yes it's important, mum, can I have some money for credits? Why not?"

    But seriously my sleep-deprived moral here is, I think getting worked up over a few special words that you could get the same effect of with some patience and you didn't even pay that much for them anyway is a bit crazy when you actually get metacognitive about what you're doing.
