I dislike the way HC characters seem to be getting treated with kid gloves, and relatedly, I dislike that there is an attitude of "how dare I have consequences" among some HC players.
If you mouth off at someone, you may find yourself PK'd. That goes for all of us. Hell, it just happened to me. If you don't want your HC character to get PK'd, keep your mouth shut.
And definitely don't DM me in Discord to tell me off immediately, especially when we've had no previous contact.

I cannot find the words to express how thrilled and proud I am of what essentially amounts to the entire game right now. From the players who went through the effort to antagonize another org in a meaningful way, to the RP it's caused in the periphery, to, and I cannot overemphasize this: every single person in the pools who took this ball and ran with it. This organic situational RP that's driven by player actions becoming a massive lore-defining event at a massive scale is something that can only really be done in MUDs, at least in this specific way, and there's no combination of words I have at my disposal right now that will articulate how tremendously and outstandingly proud I am of absolutely everyone at this moment.I gave my gushy speech in the other thread about event expectations but yeah, all of this. The only reference I have to compare this to was the original Aalen Bloom/Dreikathi invasions in the 300s, and even that isn't remotely in the same league.

I sent this in an esteem but it bears repeating here for our players, too.
This is one of the most phenomenal events I've experienced in Aetolia, in my 12 years of playing. The energy and the engagement I've seen from all orgs has been amazing and inspiring. It feels SO alive and the fact that people are coming up with ideas and they're being put into motion this quickly is astounding.
I mean, the fact that y'all controlled basically 12 mobs for the Guardians sequence alone was crazy, and I'm still reeling from it 24 hours later. (Also, I can't understate just how awesome the entire Guardians thing was in itself, I could ramble on for another hour -- GREATLY looking forward to what this might mean for a shift in Duiran's direction).
Please don't worry about working at a breakneck speed to make things happen.

There is so much to say about Iesid.
He is one of those characters that are as unpredictable as they are steadfast. When Iesid gets an idea in his head, he runs with it at full force and not caring who gets pummeled in the process if they get in his way. It's always a pleasure to watch Iesid work, be it as the former Seer, challenging bandits to a gang war, or leading a shrine destroying crusade. He's a dynamic character with so many different facets that only reveal themselves depending on who you are and how much you interact with him. He knows he's not perfect, and he doesn't shy away from the hard conversations or accountability from his own actions.
Your writing is powerful, and I've really enjoyed watching the stories you tell unfold with all the realism and depth you bring to it.

I usually get really bored of limb classes, and tend to stay away from them...
...But Tidesage is fun, and damn it has a lot of flavour to it. Getting real strong vibes from Boralus Tidesages in WoW, except instead of being corrupted by an old god, they have a creepy eldritch fog.
