reminds me a bit of Sentinel combat. Darts + paralysis + impale spamming.
If you die to a Sentinel using paralysis darts and impale spam, then.
Sentinel impale/gorge does absolutely no damage worth mentioning, and is easily outsippable. What you SHOULD be worried about in darts is how quickly you can get hardlocked by a Sentinel. Anyone who dies to repeated impales/gorges probably deserves to.
Anyhow, it's very possible to stick anorexia as a lycanthrope. That's why you roar paralysis/stupidity/anoreixa.
They won't be able to eat or touch tree to get out of it. Instead, they'll have to focus off the stupidity, apply epidermal to remove the anorexia, and then eat bloodroot to remove the paralysis. There's also renew, but it'll only be up every other set of roars.
I also don't know why/where/when roars got nerfed from ticking every 12 seconds to 15. It was already tough fighting as a lycan even with the 12 second roars.

I'll point out that because of the mechanics behind Carnifex, I can't readily beat Xiuhcoatl. I can tank his damage all day long, and in fact did, but because once I hit below a certain level of soul I start getting knocked uncon, it gives him a guaranteed win. The Carfniex class -requires- you to turtle and for any slowbuild class, turling -kills- our momentum. As far as I'm aware, there's no other class in the game that does this. If the uncon once soul gets too low would be removed, it might not be so bad, but nothing is more annoying than having 8 affs on a person, overwhelming them twice, and then suddenly you're uncon because of a mechanic that is obviously flawed.

I think a change for the Hunting Grounds is in order. People are just going in there to lure other individuals in and then refusing to fight. I should be allowed to leave if they don't want to fight.

The noose isnt the problem, as anyone on the shadow side can agree, it is the constant passive firing of paralysis plus Dhuriv combos that makes for a very easy and trigger-able impale then gorge. I feel almost all my sentinels fights have been:

If a sentinel runs away, you're either going to chase them and run into traps, obviously, or you can choose to stand still and not move. If a sentinel drags you into traps, you can EASILY walk away. In the case of dart traps, trigger them, and then let the traps keep on firing while you walk off.
They're using nothing but paralysis darts and gorge? Sip through it, writhe, and walk out. If you die, refer to my previous post.

I've fought against some of this game's finest as Sentinel, and it still surprises me sometimes who will and won't fight in darts (and inevitably lose if they fight in them).
All secondary moving(flying, tumble, swinging, leaping, fording, and the like.) should be removed in hunting grounds for besides, and that's is a maybe on the besides, tumble.

I've fought Xiuhcoatl outside of darts in the Hunting Grounds and he burrowed and ran away. He refuses to fight me in them and out of them and I'm stuck in the Hunting Grounds because he refuses to fight. This is a little ridiculous and an administrator won't respond to the blatant abuse of the fact that I can't leave when he refuses to fight.
Edit: His solution is to go into the Hunting Grounds, solve the box, and then refuse to fight.
BEGIN NECROSIS is always an option I guess. There probably should be a time limit in which if nothing happens (deaths, claiming of items) everyone is booted out though.

Eh, for my time as Sent (when we had fewer darts and we were barefoot and we had to walk uphill in the snow to summon dinosaur pets) you never just hoped someone would be nice and walk into your darts for you. You had to force them to get there, which meant firewalls, pushing salve balance, etc, until you could move them. Or lulzy charging, but that became more of a thing when dhurive was first introduced and the skills were pretty lacking in synergy. Or if you were fighting someone with stability. And we (me) used swordfish dragging. Le sigh, afk, rolling a Sent in Achaea.
@Moirean: We should talk more sometime. I'm always interested in hearing about stories of how things used to be. And to be honest, we do have it easier now. Darts fire faster, there's an in-room slot, and dragging only requires trueprone. I don't usually hope people walk into darts either - though, I can usually rely on more hotheaded/arrogant players to do just that.
Tbh, I think the entire traps mechanic is stupid cool, but they're not realistically viable in their current incarnation.
Sentinels need the traps to fight at full strength, but only a complete idiot, or someone who doesn't know what traps are at all will set foot into them. I would gladly fight a Sentinel in traps, if darts didn't spell instant hardlock into spinecut.
Sents can viably drag people into traps now, but nothing stops someone with common sense from just walking out of them. They're just so...ew.

I wouldn't be surprised if we kept traps in some form, but I'd honestly be in favor of them going away at this point. They're incredibly difficult to balance and they're now functioning as a deterrent for fighting the Sentinel. People outright refusing to fight in darts.
While things are better than what old Sentinel used to drastically be. I mean, if I knew Serrice had a room with darts set up, I'd just walk in and leave because the darts continue to run out even when there isn't a target to fire at.
