I am going to start with a disclaimer here. I am very new to Aetolia but not to IRE games. Now with that in mind, I have been reading through Aetolia lore and trying to get myself up to speed. Being told no sucks, and that feels doubly bad in a recreational activity but my thought is that airships are pretty special in Aetolia history. They have a place as a maybe one day mechanic and with all that in mind it seems very reasonable to deny someone making their house into that environment.
That being said, I get the frustration with having won an auction token and not being able to use it for your vision. I do not think it is fair to ask for it to be switched to some other auction artifact. Ictinus seems fair and reasonable to offer a straight refund but things like opportunity cost and such are unquantifiable and unreasonable to ask to be accounted in that equation.
Just my unsolicited two cents.

I don't like how "Tiur bad, Ictinus good" is the tagline here. I mean, things are great and Ictinus is doing great, and much better than Tiur. But also, it's possible for him to make mistakes and set bad precedence.
This just isn't one of those cases, though. This isn't a "customer review" and never has been. You're just making demands in a public venue after the private venue failed. Caving to those demands would be the bad precedence.
To your credit, and rereading Ictinus and your own words, he may have worded his summary of your "request" regarding Mazzion poorly. However, the actual wording does not paint you in a significantly better light. And, frankly, when you take to shaming in a public venue as you have, someone handling customer service can be forgiven for not having perfect composure and precision (even if that person is the producer of the game).

And PLUS, if this is how Iron Realms manages its customer service - don't be surprised if you log into your character one day and Iron Realms says abruptly - sorry guys we're shutting down. On to new ventures. At the end of the day this situation showed me the type of people who manage this company and its saddening really.
I hate to be the one to burst your bubble, but this has always been a possibility. The fact of this happening to other games across the industry should have made that a stark reality.

Seriously, Ictinus came into the game to save it from the dumpster fire it was before and you're pissed an item that was poorly put together won't do what you want AND aren't okay with getting a FULL REFUND that you could, in turn, go ahead and buy credits with again and buy other artifacts with. And I get it, you claim this is no longer about the gold or item and now "Ictinus made me look bad and took my words out of context and even with all the work this dude has put in since taking the job, he's now Bad and Evil because I can't bully him into doing what I want like Tiur"

I'm pretty sure it's been said before that IRE is not responsible for what happens once you liquidate your credits/real money purchases into gold. Let this be a lesson to not do that in future auctions.To piggyback I'd be curious to know where that disclaimer is. If you know where it's at.
edit: this is found once you select a product and move towards the payment screen for any purchase whatsoever in Aetolia or any other IRE game.

Your most recent post basically is freely admitting the same quote that Ictinus posted.
Bringing Mazzion into it was a mistake for both your efforts to make us feel sorry for you and from a trying to get what you want from the admin perspective.
Take the (generous) refund, or use the token for another cool idea that fits the canon. There are a lot of those.

I really wish the wait for election results was shorter and/or just straight up immediate. I don't know anybody who likes waiting for election results. The explanation given In The Past was that it was to give a buffer for the admin to look for possible Election Shenanigans, but that explanation has never made a ton of sense to me. For one, a winner is picked immediately, meaning if election shenanigans would reverse that decision, then a buffer period for hiding votes wouldn't really make a difference in The Drama Department. For another, if someone HAS been doing Shady Stuff, like, just...just shrub 'em. Give 'em the ol' leafy treatment. All this huuuuuge wait seems to really do is make everyone miserable by essentially dragging out any election by several more days (by making folk have to continue caring about it, I mean) while they wait to see precisely how the chips fell. In my perfect world, the instant an election ended we'd see votes, but at the very least I think this SUPER LONG wait time should be reduced dramatically.
