    Before he was an actor, Anthony Hopkins was a musician. For the first time in his life, he hears a waltz piece he wrote 50 years ago called “And The Waltz Goes On”. Played by Dutch violinist Andre Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra. Freaking gorgeous.

    X-Men: Days of Future Past. I've been burned by past X-Men movies...burned HARD. This is not only the X-Men movie we've been waiting for, but it managed to successfully and believably correct a lot of the mistakes of past movies, while also managing to throw in callbacks to previous movies/comics lore. Masterfully done.


    ...and if you see it, dear GOD ABOVE make sure you stay until after the credits. There might still be a little puddle of happy-pee under the seat I was in when I saw it. Holycrap.

    Finally got home from the anime convention I was at all weekend. I'm dead tired, but I bought some uber-cute things and got to see lots of stuff like the 404s comedy improv show. Next year I'm thinking of trying to cosplay and attending more things other than panels.

    As someone who will rarely have the opportunity to purchase credits or lessons, I nearly squealed with joy at seeing this:

    I love that I impulse downloaded UT 2k4 and -gasp!- there were active servers! I promptly found one and dominated (literally) then found one where half the guys were as good as me or better, and then was like holy shit where'd the past 4 hours go. Man I forgot about this game

    This is why we can't take mechanics training with us. :P
