@Phoenecia: I agree, something special about Mulan.
I like the Lion King, but after my girl wanted to watch it on repeat when she was little (five times a day, day after day) makes it a bit... meh. I haven't watched it in years because of it.
Yeah, love that one, but I have to say that THIS is not bad. It's even awesome in the Swedish version. It's like the role was written for the Swedish actor as well as the original voice.
The Prince of Egypt technically doesn't belong in a discussion of Disney movies. As another side note, the Hunchback was one of those movies I saw as a kid and didn't think much of, but then saw again as an adult and wondered how that was really appropriate for kids. It's good, but it's got some scary stuff in it.
After spending six hours in a hospital waiting room while my father's eye got dealt with, not only did he get the surgery he needed to prevent retinal detachment, but also had a really delightful conversation with a Franciscan Brother who had all sorts of stories to tell, between being an avid sports fan to mistaken identity in Lima.
Spending a night out with friends and having some damn good food with them. (and also playing Pokemon Y AWWWWW YEAAAAAAAAAA) Looking forward to my two days off coming up.
Also, got a bottle of Ommegang Brewery's next Game of Thrones beer. It's called Take the Black Stout and it's absolutely delicious. Awww yiss, surrounded by microbreweries that make some nice beers.

Disney movies and soundtracks? Yes, the Prince of Egypt was good and underrated and Lion King is great, but...
Prince of Egypt is not Disney, it's Dreamwork. So even if it's an underrated Movie, it's not an underrated -Disney- Movie. <.< Just repeating it, since some people still seem to make the mistake.
Ivoln never said Prince of Egypt was Disney. He said that Lion King was it in the Disney category, and then as an aside pointed out that Prince of Egypt is pretty excellent.
Lilo & Stitch is tying for greatest with The Sword in the Stone.
I also love my friends, but I wish they'd time their mass invasions a bit better. I was hoping to have an empty house for one whole day, and instead I had company till the wee hours.
First: Technically it was Pixar (Disney hadn't bought Pixar when Toy Story came out, but it's probably the biggest reason why Disney wanted Pixar because it's a great movie)
Second: You aren't allowed to like anything other than Mulan. That is all
I love my kid, a very smart girl who started 5th grade this fall. According to her teacher, she almost reached all the goals for 6th grade last term (spring term of 4th grade) and continues to make good progress. They almost told her to slow down a little!
On top of being book-smart, she's got more common sense than many adults, something that is shown in the way she acts and speaks. She's always helpful, trying to explain things to her classmates when they don't understand what the teacher just said, but never in a 'I-know-best'- kind of way, but rather in a gentle and sometimes even playful way. I've seen her in action and it makes my heart burst with pride.
She's also grateful for everything she gets, be it a pair of new socks or some expensive device, because she knows that you can't get it all, and should appreciate what you actually do get. She's never ever thrown a fit for not getting what she wants. Sure, she's grumbled a little, but it passes when she's been given a reason (again with the common sense).
Also, she loves to read. She's plowing through books like there's no tomorrow and she has to get as many as possible before they all disappear. This will be such a huge help for her in the future.
I'm feeling some love for the fact that a lot of the recent Ascendril activity - not just big plots, but also standard conversations, promotions, RP - has been happening in the evenings my time. Yay for making my life easier.
I love that the process for this job is just about done. Assuming there are no unforeseen glitches, the HR manager is happy to accept my last minute GED test and I'll start training Monday.
I love that I got two perfect scores on the GED and the others were all really high.
I do not love that my non-studying, out-of-school, half-awake self did better than 85% of graduating high school seniors on the math portion, and that was my worst score. Holy crap, our education system blows.
I used to be the kind of person who wouldn't even bother leaving the apartment during the weekends, unless I needed to go to the store. Two weeks ago, we started a step-counting Contest at work and I thought it would be a great time to start actually trying to lose weight. Now it's saturday night and I just got home from a walk that ended at 12k steps. In 1.5 week, I lost half a pant size. If I manage to continue with this, I might actually be halfway to slim by the summer.
I love salad bars. Like...hardcore adore salad bars. I could eat salad bar every day and be content. I love salad bar. My boyfriend is taking me to a salad bar for dinner. I love my boyfriend.
