To not arrive emptyhanded, here is an old photo of my parents' dogge. She's a lot bigger and sillier now.

This handsome fellow is Gadget. He lives with my parents three hours away. My father just told me that he was feeling lethargic all week and so my sister took him to the vet. The vet told my sister that the blood tests indicate that he is experiencing kidney failure. My parents are going to wait the weekend to see how he feels by Monday... Here's hoping he can hang on until I can get over there to see him again.

Edit: I appreciate the love shown. They ended up having to put him to sleep for complete kidney failure tonight. RIP Gadget. You were the sweetest kitty who loved the hell out of stinky shoes and socks ever.
