I have those birds near my house, sometimes we get whole flocks in a tree. They're pretty awesome. Always makes my day, they're so colourful.

Since I got my bow last week, my friend made me a quiver to go with it. Said quiver was modeled after Link's quiver in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Going to take pictures of it as soon as my phone's not dead.

Might go to one of the farms in the area and do some apple picking since I'm going to be needing a ton of apples soon for a party my family's having. Going to a food show with my mom next week, and the day after that, I'm going out with friends to an amusement park that has Halloween stuff going on.

Also, finally going back to work now that the building renovations are done.

So, here's the pics of my bow and quiver. Bow might look kind of weird since it's not strung, and it's made out of pvc pipe covered with floral duct tape. Placeholder until I get myself a real bow. >_>

Front side of the grip. The detail work in the leather was done with a laser engraver.

And back side of the grip.

Quiver. Modeled after Link's quiver in Twilight Princess with a few alterations.

Again, I did none of the design work. The bow and quiver were surprise gifts made for me.

Quiver looks pretty sweet. I'm not too sure about that pvc pipe, tho. Too flower.

I had trouble finding anything that would match the grip. It was either that or pink and black tiger stripes. <_<

My friend's bow is way more badass. Authentic English longbow with an 80lb draw, and has rattlesnake skin along the front side.

When I was a private in my very first unit, we would have room inspections every month in our class A uniforms. I remember being outside in formation while the 1SG was doing someone's room, and they came out.. the platoon sergeant had like four swords in his hand, and my 1SG had a like.. 7 foot long Sephiroth replica sword.

He comes up to the front of the formation, shakes his head for a minute, and goes, "Men. I thought we understood that swords were not allowed in the barracks. Also. Midget porn?"

And then after we're all giving the dude shit and he goes, "That's alright. He didn't find the Iguana."
