ANNOUNCE NEWS #2253 (Group combat and XP)

Subj: Group combat/XP
One of the things we always want to see in Aetolia is more people getting involved in the PvP side
of the game. To that end, I'm introducing a few changes that I hope will encourage people to
participate in the easiest facet of PvP to get into, group combat, and hopefully make it less
frustrating.
A) You will no longer lose experience if you die with a foci aura, or die within unstable
environment.
Experience gain from killing a player who has a foci aura or is in an unstable environment has
been tripled.
C) People who assist a kill during a foci fight and are in the same room as either the killer or
victim will now also gain some experience, which will be split amongst all the assists.
D) Not really related, but while I was in the death code, I also made it so you enter death sequence
automatically on dying.
We hope this will entice people to partake in the group combat experience and we'll be watching to
see how it plays out. Please remember that intentionally feeding someone kills for experience is
against our policies, and any attempt to abuse the lack of experience loss will be punished
accordingly.

Not losing XP in Ylem fights will be a great motivator to get involved again.
I was wondering if possibly we could add that the time being dead (if died with foci aura) is reduced? Just a suggestion

Also, anyone have a read on how the death change affects death for vampires, with diffuse mist/earthmeld? I WON'T LET THE MAN TAKE MY CHOICE FROM ME. I'M A FREE VAMPIRE, AND AN AMERICAN.

Very nice addition, though loss of xp was never a biggy for me anyway, this should be a huge incentive for lower levels where a death is like OMG I JUST LOST 4 HOURS OF BASHING THREE ROCK. UUUUGGGGG.

Besides an aura lasts for barely a minute. I'd actually feel bad for the person that thinks he can somehow run into a foci area, get aura (after 10 seconds of waiting), rush back like a wild man to some city he wants to raid and stand in there (most likely to die to guards) for 30 seconds attempting to do some form of havoc >>.

If someone raids your city / ports into the City 99% of the time that person will be enemied so bounty for raiding.. end off ..
Entering a Enemy city with Aura doesn't means the City laws dont stay in effect @Ishin Its only when its at the same Aura/lesser/minor ..
None the less, Minors should be more fun and people who only do minors might get pked more

So if a living character dies they'll automatically 'approach mirror'. If an undead character dies, they'll automatically 'reform body'.
