There's also the fact that IronCon is full of people who actually share your hobby. This is pretty much the only place you'll get that many MUDers together, specifically Iron Realms ones.

Oh, and ComicCon isn't in LAS VEGAS

@Omei Have you all thought about negotiating with a local hotel for group rates? I've done that before with a party of ten and we didn't have to pay until people checked in, we didn't even need a deposit. Surely in Vegas you all could find a hotel willing to accommodate your needs. This could save everyone a pretty penny and draw more people to the event.

I would be @Valenae, I can buy the ticket now and then we can work on hotel rates and the like soon.

I have just been stressing about the hotel more than anything.  I will get my IronCon ticket though so it is not cancelled.  This makes me alot less stressed.  ALOT

We should try to find out what hotels people are wanting to stay at or are convenient, We may be able to get a block locked down with a group rate.  My family did that for a reunion.

I left correspondence with a Peter Lin, at the Hilton Grand Suites on the Strip in Las Vegas, NV

In regards to group rates and perhaps getting a block of rooms at a discount for IronCon.  Since its a centrally located hotel, and the rates are generally already good.

He is going to see about getting rooms locked down from the 19-21 at a group rate for those attending and should be getting back to me via Email or phone soon.
