Went through and tallied all of the wordcounts thus far and calculated their percentage towards completion. Not that it is a competition, just a list to demonstrate who needs the most encouragement! Unless you are encouraged by competition. In which case, get writing.
Additionally, with 1 full week down, there are 23 days left to finish. 23.333% of the month is gone, so if you were on a steady pace, that is theoretically where you ought to be. Or you could relive the glory days of college and crank this sucker out on the night of the 29th.
I just went back and made sure I'd added all you people. I kind of got off to a crazy start because I knew work was going to come along and start kicking my butt.
I haven't written a single word and I feel bad about that. Worst timing to suddenly find myself obsessing over my old Georgette Heyer books. I'll try to start something this weekend, though.
As much as I want to do this, I'm putting my attention on finishing the 100 themes challenge first. I'm hoping to have at least 15 passages done before year's end. I think I can crank that out with my schedule.
Maybe next year. Good luck everyone!

Aw. I do wish it had worked out better for more of you. I can absolutely understand how schedules change and the time you thought you would have evaporates before your eyes.
Don't be disheartened or give up! There is a lot of time left in the month, and even if you haven't started now, it is feasible if you were dedicated to get it done.
12 hour work days, a throat infection, and creepy fever dreams every night have pretty much left me completely incapable of building up my epic fantasy idea. Maybe I'll take it up later.
For now, I'm thinking of starting from scratch on another idea.
For beauty is nothing but the beginning of terror, which we are still just able to endure, and we are so awed because it serenely disdains to annihilate us. Every angel is terrifying.
I noticed I started off in little spurts. 700, 1000, 1200, now I'm up to 2000+ a night. Seems to get a little easier the further along you get. Maybe it's just me?

It's that Locke blood in you!

Wish I could take part in this, but there really is no time. If I wrote that much on my thesis each night, I'd be happy and less stressed out (I'm on a slightly tighter schedule for that one). Good luck to everyone though!
With 43 minutes left to go. Sheesh, what an overachiever am I.
Only 24,164 words written today. I mean, it's not even half the novel. In less than 24 hours. Just goes to show you that if I had put my mind to it, I could have been done on November 2nd.
Time to do a little spell checking and editing for grammar so Raz doesn't think his American sucks.
