Guildmasters can now assign broadcast messages to their guild tutors,
which will periodically fire a message to the guild channel
approximately once per hour. To set this up, visit your guild tutor and
PROBE it to view a list of syntaxes.

HELP ANNOUNCEMENTS has been added.

    I turned it off. It was too spammy and I found that members were actually ignoring GT because they got used to just hearing the same message from the tutor.

    I'd say limit the announce time down to 2-3 hours (it was ticking every 30 minutes) and let us set a list of things to announce, and then it'll go through that list, instead of it just being one announce.

    - City tutors have been given announcement capabilities. Read HELP
    ANNOUNCEMENTS for details.

    Ah, 2 hours is better. I would still like them to be able to cycle through a list, though!

    Back when it was 1 per hour, @Aren added one and we saw how spammy it was. Aren then added another, and instead of alternating...it just each one per hour, which made it twice as spammy. It's been off ever since.

    I currently have it on in the Teradrim pointing people and novices to the Guild Shop with a number of supplies in it at a VERY high discount for the guild only.  I do this because sometimes the novices or other guild members may be on without another person, so it is my hope that they see at least this and know where to get their stuff at.

    I agree with Moirean and sent a message back when this changelog started to Iosyne asking for us to have the ability to add more than one message.  I would like to add another message in for novices as well

    Oh yeah, an option to have different announcements for gnt would be nice, for sure.

    I was going to turn it on, realized that nobody really needed to see the message more than once or twice, and made a new standard announcement instead.

    so an interesting thing happened....Thanks to @Ellenia we were able to figure out that you can have them rotate messages.  You simply just tell them the message like the normal means and once that message is said over the CT or GT then every 2 hours after it will be repeated.  So if you do one message then another 15 minutes later, it will repeat the first in 2 hours and the second 15 minutes after!

    @Iosyne was this disabled??   My guild tutor nor the City Tutor has been talking on the channel for some time now.  I think I noticed it just before the Festival started
