If you're going for Elvis hair, looks like the problem is that the hair's too short? It needs a bit more length for its natural weight to help it sit right/bend right. I may or may not have learned that lesson from my cousin cutting off her bangs and having to wait for them to grow to a certain length so that they wouldn't stick up funny.
