Troop Reserves
Hello folks,
Just introducing a new mechanic call Reserves for war that you should be aware of going forward.
Reserves is essentially an attrition mechanic, meaning that with enough losses you can eventually reach a point where you can no longer field extra troops for a limited time.
We're introducing this so wars can eventually hit an end/tipping point and to potentially get cities more interested in diplomacy if the war is resulting in a stalemate.
Of course, there still isn't a way to win a war right now, but who says it'll remain like that forever...
Notes below:
- Reserves are now visible on WARSTATUS for your city.
- When you conscript troops at the barracks, they are deducted from your reserves.
- When you disband troops, they are readded into your reserves.
* Do note, you can no longer disband troops unless they are at the barracks now.
- Your reserves can have a maximum of 1000 troops, a city won't generate extra beyond that.
* You can go above this by disbanding divisions, but the city will won't generate any extra until the reserves fall below the maximum.
- Acquiring new reserves happens every RL day, and you will gain 3 for each territory you control.
* Right now, with each city having four territories, that is a maximum of 12 per RL day.
- Nothing should have changed elsewhere, you can still only field a maximum of 500 troops. Reserves won't affect that.
