Hi everyone!
May has arrived and with it, the salvage sale comes to a close. In its place, Cryptic Chests have returned with even more value tuning and some new prizes to get your hands on!
Chests can be obtained from the Aetolia website (www.aetolia.com/credits) throughout the month of May. Opening one will award you with one or more prizes, and I've done another pass on values and tuning here to bring up the average somewhat.
Every 500 Cryptic Chests opened will trigger a global prize where one of the next 50 to be opened will contain a bonus of 500 credits on top of the other prizes!
Here's what you might find inside:
- Chocolate bags*, elemental globes, fireworks, customisation certificates, iron coins, and a very low chance at salvage.
* We have decided to remove caramel chocolates from the bags and going forward, it is our plan to retire this chocolate given the power of its effects and its impact on PvE design. We will be considering options to mitigate its loss in the future along with additional hunting updates.
- Credit prizes ranging from 15 - 250.
- Various artifacts valued between 50 and 2000 credits.
- Technique scrolls for the elegant, crafters, tundral, forceful, and the new LOUD style, and iterators for the new LOUD vox.
- Several new minipets: a bright-eyed baby quokka, a wide-eyed sugar glider, an arrogant lemming, a buzzing honey bee, and of course, we can't have a bee without the superior counterpart, an angry wasp!
- Compendium pages for: the Bloodwood, Tcanna, Eftehl, the Volcano, the Kkirrr'shi Hive, the forgotten depths of Mount Helba, and the Spiral of the Corrupt.
- Crystal relic coffers with pieces for the crystal_tortoise, crystal_pike, crystal_tome, crystal_illusion, crystal_deathgem, crystal_singularity, crystal_gem, crystal_bullhorn, and crystal_mirror relics. As a reminder, all of these pieces trade in for 30 bound credits each, more than is typical!
In addition to these, you will always receive a filler prize (grimstim pills, various consumables, omnipotence pills, etc). These do not count towards your chest's value.
