Mining Artifacts & A New Weapon Rune!
As promised, Mining artifacts have now arrived, along with a new weapon rune (entirely unrelated to Mining)!
These can be purchased through the normal means in game, or (with the exception of the iron coin items) through the artifact cart for a 30% discount (40% with Iron Elite). The cart can be found at: www.aetolia.com/credits .
Onto the goods!
CREDIT ARTIFACTS
----------------
a venantium pick (artifact_pickaxe) - 300 credits
- A permanent pick that instantly breaks deposits in one swing when mining them, and automatically places the ores into your inventory.
- This item also confers faster balance on all mining abilities that use your pickaxe, and can be secured in weaponbelts.
an unbreakable miner's lantern (artifact_lantern) - 250 credits
- A permanent lantern that always provides the full 7 tile radius of light without needing to be wielded like standard lanterns.
a gold-braided lifeline (artifact_lifeline) - 250 credits
- This lifeline will never decay or break, and holding it halves the channel time when using MINING LIFELINE.
an ever-burning beacon (lightbringer) - 350 credits
- While in a mine, whenever you walk into a tile that is unlit, or its adjacent tiles are unlit, the beacon will attempt to place a torch there if it is safe and valid location to do so.
- The beacon generates its own torches.
- You must still buy your own torches if you want to manually place one.
- Unlit means unlit by any sources, not just a torch.
- Safe means it won't place torches where it would explode gas or set something on fire.
a Gnomish screw pump (screwpump) - 250 credits
- This pump allows you to instantly remove lava or water from an adjacent tile in your mine.
- MINING PUMP <dir> to use it.
a Syndicate survey map (double_markers) - 100 credits
- Doubles the amount of mining markers you can place with the Markers ability.
a venantium-reinforced minecart (artifact_minecart) - 350 credits
- This cart holds double the amount of ores before it needs to be emptied.
- It will also never eject you if it crashes into another cart.
a Gnomish ore detector (ore_report) - 150 credits
- Adds a new section to your MINING REPORT display, detailing how many ores remain in the mine.
- This includes counts from both veins and deposits.
IRON COIN ARTIFACTS

a steel hard hat (mining_hardhat) - 50 iron coins
- This hard hat can be given to one of your miner Gnomes to change them into a different race, depending on the hat's label.
- Options available are: Dwarf, Goblin, Imp, Kobold, Mhun, and Nazetu.
- The hats are labelled for ease of telling them apart, and can be used multiple times to transform your whole workforce.
- This only works for the owner, and only on your own Gnomes.
WEAPON RUNE
-----------
a serrated rune (serration) - 500 credits
- An old favourite, but repurposed:
- When attached to a bow, this rune has a 1/3 chance to increase bleeding by three times on a successful arrow hit.
- ONLY works on bows, not on any other weapon type.
