Upcoming Event Focus & Spirit Eld Battle: Details!

During events taking place this weekend, a one-off anomalous focus will spawn into existence that the two tethers must vie for control over. Controlling the focus will spawn a gateway for the
winning tether, allowing them to go on to be the first to challenge a new type of colossal eld before it gets added into the standard spawn chance for major foci.

Here's how the anomalous focus battle will work. This post will be copied into HELP ANOMALY for easier reference in looking up the details again.

The location in which the focus spawns will create a great ylem geyser, making its spawn room inaccessible for the duration of the anomalous focus. Tethers must control the focus from four
different points using divisions of troops that will spawn in at your side's war camp during the event. When all four points have your side's troops sitting at them, your side's timer will begin to
count down.

If your side's timer reaches zero, your team wins the focus event, both cities for that side will gain an injection of ylem, and a gateway will open where the geyser was allowing you to
challenge the new colossal eld.

Here's a further breakdown on the conflict details.

War Camps
---------
* There is one for each tether.
* The war camps will spawn a new division for your side periodically.
* There will be one-way portals at your city's pylon that lead to your side's war camp.
* There will be a 'General' in each war camp that will instantly kill any enemy combatants that enter the camp.

Divisions
---------
* Each war camp will start with 4 initial divisions in it.
* A new division of 20 troops spawns in a war camp every 30 seconds.
- Your side cannot have more than 15 divisions, spawning will stop while you have that amount.
- If your side falls below 15 divisions again, spawning will resume until you reach 15 once more.
* The divisions in this conflict are independents that don't come from your city's pool of divisions.
- In addition, city troops will be unable to enter the conflict zone.
* Divisions cannot march into the enemy war camp room.
* In order to give a division commands, you must be its commander.
* Anybody on your side can TAKECOMMAND <division> to be registered as a division's commander.
- This only works if the division doesn't already have a commander.
* To change a division under your command to someone else, you can ORDER <division> COMMANDER <person>.
* The divisions for this event are restricted to the following orders from HELP WAR:
- ORDER <division> MARCH <direction>
- ORDER <division> ATTACK <target>
- ORDER <division> COMMANDER <new commander>
- This means you can't merge troops together. You're restricted to multiple divisions of 20 troops.
* Divisions will not attack enemy divisions automatically, they must be ordered to do so.
* Divisions CAN march past enemy divisions, unless they're in battle with them.
* Divisions cannot march while in a battle. i.e. no fleeing.
- Their commanders and other players can still move around, though.
* IMPORTANT: Divisions will defend players from their side.
- i.e. if an enemy combatant attacks you while you have a division in your room, the division will aggro on the attacker.
- This effect is disabled if an enemy division is in the room as well.
- The enemy division does not need to be attacking your division to disable the defender effect. They just need to be in the same room.
* Divisions cannot be attacked by players.
* Division combat is 1v1. i.e. A division cannot attack an enemy division that's already fighting another of your divisions.
* Divisions gain a combat bonus if their commander is in the room with them.

Objective
---------
* A large ylem geyser will spawn in the conflict area, making the room it spawns into inaccessible for the duration of the conflict.
* Each side has a 6 minute timer. First side to reach 0 on their timer wins.
* The LEYLINES command can be used to check the progress.
* Your side needs to control all four control points of the ylem geyser in order to tick your side's timer down.
- Control means you have a troop in each of the control point rooms, with no enemy troops in any of control rooms.
- The LEYLINES command will list the control rooms, but you can assume they are north, east, south, and west of the geyser room.
- You simply need to march a troop into control room to halt their time.
* Timer progress is cumulative. It doesn't reset if an enemy disrupts your control attempt.
* When your timer reaches 0, your cities will get a large injection of ylem and the geyser will subside, leaving behind a gateway that will allow you to enter to challenge the new colossal eld.
* You will have the same amount of time as a major focus gateways to kill the colossal eld before the focus collapses, killing everyone inside.
* The zone is relatively small, it is three rooms march to reach the control point closest to your war camp.

We are deliberately not revealing the location of the focus battle in advance, but it is an area readily accessible to everyone. There is a preamble part to the conflict event that you can expect to start Friday night (US/EU time), with the actual battle taking place on Saturday night.

Penned by my hand on Kinsday, the 2nd of Niuran, in the year 498 MA.
