Perfumery Scent Additions

since Fumology has seen all the well-loved additions of new ingredients, Perfumery should get its own list of additions! Its current selections are severely limited in choices at the moment, and I'm sure many of us have suggestions of what we want added.

As so courteously requested by Brax, here's a thread so all those who have ideas to contribute can do so. For ease of compiling and to make life easier for our volunteers and Becue, adding in the scent words we'd like is highly encouraged!

Here's mine:

[Oil] Cherry
[Primary] mouthwatering
[Secondary] sweet-sour
[Base] fruity

[Oil] Myrrh
[Primary] piney, bitter
[Secondary] resinous
[Base] medicinal

I've got a few ideas myself, and I actually did looked up how these scents are described/used in the perfume industry. Hopefully this should add some new, desirable descriptors for more combinations too. >_>

  • I don't know how to determine the primary, secondary or base stuff, but I would love to see something hay.

The master crafting list that Elene linked has a nice little thing that spews out what the final scents look like when you select a primary, secondary, and base scent.

This is something I requested some time ago, to help a bit with showing off scents:

Idea #2710 Section: Tradeskill Support: 5
2020/08/11 04:58:19: PERFUME SAMPLE RACK: It would be neat if there was a way to show off samples of perfumes, rather than having to resort to speaking the exact words used in the scent messages. I am thinking that there could be a jewelery design for small, single application sample vials, which can be refilled by POURing PERFUME INTO SAMPLEVIAL. These vials can then be put inside a SAMPLE RACK, a design for woodcrafting that can hold up to 10 small sample vials. It will provide a smarter way to roleplay around the sale of different scents and scented wares.
