March is the golden month, so it's time for the return of pots of gold!

We'll be selling pots of gold on the website (as always, not literally gold coins.) Each pot has a wide variety of prizes and is priced similarly to cryptic chests. For those who don't know, these pots of gold are intentionally incredibly variable. Where normally I do my best to bring things in to a middle range of variance, I've let these be as swingy as they can be. While their average is targetted at sale prices (14 credits), they give anything from 5cr to 500cr. They're like chests without my years of careful statistical curation.

We'll also have a milestone mission this month! Finding the end of a rainbow will give you a bronze milestone. You must be logged in 60 minutes before a rainbow will pop up for you. Once it appears, you may SEARCH FOR RAINBOW every 10 seconds to get a clue as to how close you are. There will also be a once daily prize to spend that milestone on. It has chocolates or other odd things inside, including pieces to a relic minipet. And now it also has a slight chance for a pot of gold!

PS. Again, the minipet is a reference to an older horror work. Being from Americana, it again runs the risk of having racial problems... the story is much older than that, but it seems you cannot avoid America's racist history when referencing horror works from the American Gothic era. No intentional bigotry here, I just wanted to nod to a root of horror fiction.

I actually got the promo minipet in one of the first pots I got.

Minipet dance

A golden arm rises drums its fingers against the ground, either bored with the request or doing some form of dance.

Minipet speak

A golden arm pauses for a long moment, appearing to ignore the command. When you tire of waiting, it attempts to startle you with a loud *SNAP* of its fingers.

This disembodied arm has been removed from the shoulder in a neat line. It seems crafted from solid gold, but inspection of the dismembered joint shows golden bone and even muscle formed of gold. The arm lacks identifying tattoos or marks, and its fingernails, while gold, are precisely manicured. Strangest of all is its appearance of life: it crawls about using its fingers, perhaps eternally searching from the presumably golden being it is severed from. He is called 'Midas.'

A golden arm looks weak and feeble.

He is loyal to Azure Rose, Phoenecia Sinclair.

Scurrying about on its finger tips, a golden arm enters from the southwest.

It reminds me of Thing from The Addams Family. 

I was also trying to figure out what the literary reference was and learned that it's The Golden Arm folktale, often told by Mark Twain.

... I also realized too late that the name I chose for my pet would jhave probably been better suited for a golden donkey.

Edit: Why's is classified as Mechanical rather than Aberration?

Everytime I make a minipet aberrant/undead/spirit someone makes a comment and I end up having to make another similar one for the other tether. They don't like owning things of their enemies!

I just tried the rainbow thing, and it doesn't look like it's giving out the bronze keystone. It's also not listed with the daily milestones.

They're just tea! Some of them can be annoying to get... it's an offset. Every day you can get a kettle, so we don't want it to be worth too much. But balancing even a decent prize is hard.
