    So, my company has a new President/CEO. He's going to be making store visits from now until March 3rd. All department heads vacations have been cancelled until then. I'm a department head. So... yeah. I probably won't be able to make it.

    I "I wonder what to pack"ly decided it would be wise to look up the weather down there this week last night and everything screamed at me "WINTER STORM WARNING, OH GOD, HIDE YOUR CHILDREN AND BOARD UP YOUR HOMES!" I looked this morning "Storm is passed, 1" of snow fall"

    I'm just glad it isn't screwing up our flights. Supposedly it will be clear and pretty while I'm there, just butt-unicornsing cold. My coast is having an unusually dry and warm winter so far so I'm not nearly as acclimated to the cold as I normally am!

    Well, in our case, we got like.. .4-.5" of ice on the ground instead of snow. Ice is so much worse, that's why people were getting up in arms about it. Though, 1" of snow does shut most things down usually.

    Ice is waaaaay worse than snow. Good luck getting into your car with even 1/2" of ice.

    The wind chill tomorrow night is around -7 with a hearty chance of snow. Winter storm definitely isn't over.

    Coooold, but alive! Upside to cold: instant topic of conversation for -everyone- at the convention XD. First thing half the people you meet ask, "What's the weather like where you're from right now"

    On the bright side, the hotel's gift shop has all their sweaters/scarves, etc. on BOGO deals right now. So, having forgotten my jacket, I now have two new scarves.

    My flight doesn't leave until 4ish, so I'll be to the airport around 1pm. I've got an educational OHSA crane rules thing at 11:00am... Sooooo, somewhere near the hotel/convention center before then would be awesome! :D

    according to googlemaps, Crispy Crepes is about a 15 minute walk for me, which is certainly doable! Especially considering tomorrow is supposed to be warmer weather yet! :D Above freezing ftw!

    Unless alternative plans arise, I'll be there ta 9:00am!
