I'm having no issue whatsoever. Is it possible your system has something in the background silently transmitting between username and password?

It sounds like either your characters were deleted due to long enough inactivity or you're inputting the passwords incorrectly.
It's also possible, like @Daskalos said, that your client-side is sending a command in between username and password. One of the login lines actually returns true to the return isPrompt() lua expression trigger, so I would go to Settings > Main Display > check Echo Input on.
