It's still in alpha so you cant do friend invite games yet, you just join random, and then if you chose your chars name wisely nobody knows who you are anyway. Me and my friends just time our joins at the same time while in mumble to get in the same games.
I won twice as the serial killer so far... seems to be the role I am best at and last the longest in... I have had to start changing my name because mafia/jailers kill me on day one if they recognize me from previous games.
We're actually about to run through and play a few games with my friends and record it for a youtube video if anyone is interested PM. (have a mic and mumble client)
ETA: I'm Black Widow and I won as the Jester. It was awesome. I convinced the Medium and the last remaining Mafia to lynch me and then used my revenge kill on the Mafia to win.
Pretty sure that's the only way it can happen. If the SK and mafia are the only two left, SK wins. Can't think of any other scenario. If played well, the Jester is the best role. Most people make it really obvious that they are the Jester by spamming everyone. I sided with people I thought was Mafia hoping they wouldn't kill me and the town would lynch me. Just worked out well for me that it took them forever.
I won a game as SK by killing off the mafioso on a lucky first round pick, then killing the jester the next round, then popping anyone who role-claimed (trying to pick someone the mafia wouldn't). In the end, it was the godfather lynched, the escort and the Medium left with me. Night round, escort tried to distract me and died -> day round is a draw (1 vote v 1 vote), and I got the Medium the night round after to win.

I like to spend the whole time dousing people as the arsonist so they know they are screwed... but I wait as long as possible before burning them all so as many people as possible all die overnight in glorious flames.
Mush by Twinoid (same people who make Die2nite, which was popular with Aetolia players for awhile), is an amazing mafia-like game.
The characters are on a spaceship and have all sorts of sci-fi tasks to do. At one point in the game, someone becomes infected with the "mush" and becomes a secret alien. You have to use the breakdown of the spaceship tasks to talk with each other and figure out who the mush is. The mush can infect other players over time and turn them into mush too.
The end game is either really fun or really boring. There's multiple ways for each side to win, so if the humans have won it can get a little slow as people try to rack up points. If the mush is still around towards the end of the game, there's actually a simple PvP component, where the mush can turn into tentacles mushroom monsters and try to kill everyone and/or destroy the ship if they want to (though they can also win by just infecting enough people and then killing off the humans or destroying the ship without turning into tentacle monsters).

My friend was raving about this game at D&D the other week. Apparently it's really fun.
According to their forums they are working on having personal rooms and such. I love this game and play A LOT. I am either Zdrakias, Z, or sometimes I just let the game pick for me.
