  • To answer your question, though: It absolutely makes sense that her size COULD be adjusted once Lin "gains more control over the animal inside her, so it doesn't overwhelm who she is". All about "finding a balance" and whatnot.

There's always ways to justify making a change in your character, y'know? This one even makes sense from an IC standpoint.

Considering other suspensions of belief (riding a tlingor in a crawl space with no issues, etc), what it really depends on is YOU. And I suppose to what range this 'ridiculously large' is. Like, if she's going from a dingy to an oil tanker, or is suddenly the same size as a house/clifford the big red lin.

  • Is anyone else silently giggling about -Lin- worried about -realism-?

Okay, that was a pretty good burn.

For those curious, she was ah... fifteen feet long. (that's what... she said?) We've reduced this to a healthy seven.
  • AngweAngwe I'm the dog that ate yr birthday cake Bedford, VA
That is not a wolf. That is a snakedog.

I was gonna RPfight, but then I was like hooooollllyyyyy unniiiicooorrnnnsss and didn't wanna be sat on.  I have no problem with swift retcons like that.

  • @Lin - don't worry about your wolf description so much. Several of us have taken some huge liberties with our mutated descriptions, so it's not all that big a deal if you have a very unique mutated look.

    Angwe
  • I've seen seventeen-foot tall Azudim, and I was like 'cool bro'.

Some people really take their liberties a bit too far around here. >_>
  • Yeah, but I've also seen seventeen-foot tall endgamers get told by admin to "calm that unicorn down, son", cause it's just out of hand.

    QUESTION!

If you use the new "crafting shelves" in shops, do the crafted items show up with the buyer's mark, or the shopowner's mark?

    Shop owner's mark.
    image
  • Well can allies add to those shelves (like normal shelves) too? And if so, would it be the shop owner's mark or the design owner's mark?

2011/08/04 05:00:26: Under the ESTEEM system, allow it to work like messages or tells in that it keeps a list of the last X esteems to be expressed for a character. It'd be really nice if, say, person A expressed twice, they'd be listed together or shown at the same time when you checked.

Posting this again, as it's been in the idea queue for a while near the top.

I saw this idea and wrote a script for CMUD the other night.

Again, shop owner's mark. Shop owner needs to have access to, or own, the design, along with the skillset required to make it. Otherwise it's a headache of keeping track of who priced what and who can craft it.

This is a question for @Tok:

Does the new shop shelves take the crafting boon artifacts into account when using up commodities? Like, you get two pair of shirts for the commodity price of one as a crafter?
    image
  • @Alexina: Nope, crafting boons don't enter the equation.
  • DaskalosDaskalos Credit Whore Extraordinare Rolling amongst piles of credits.
Which is why I can't use the crafting shelves at all because they don't take the artifacts into account. :(

Is there any reason in particular mind hallucinate, and the illusion skills in both sciomancy and elemancy didn't receive the same upgrade to the character limit that subterfuge illusions received?

Feelings, sensations that you thought were dead. No squealin' remember, that it's all in your head.
  • I'm going to blame this next question on combat ineptness then, but how would longer illusions be of benefit in a combat situation? As it stands, I'm pretty sure the character limit is still big enough at default to illusion most skill messages.

It's not a matter of their flexibility, but the fact that they work on a very long internal cooldown.
  • Just like a woman.

    Liaison new Warhounds Sniff

Your report 1234 has been created.

Liaison 1234 Problem Currently when you hound sniff, it shows all the mobs in the area. This is no good. Who cares about mobs?

Liaison 1234 Solution 1 Change sniff so that all enemies on your enemy list are instantly killed when you use Hound Sniff. This will make our hounds fearsome.
Liaison 1234 Solution 2 Change sniff so that instead of showing mobs in the area, it sends my hound into a frenzy if there are any enemies nearby.
    Liaison 1234 submit

    Example 2:
    Liaison new Deathlore New

Your report 1234 has been created.

Liaison 1234 Problem Currently Carnifex are very underpowered. People whine about soulthirst but they don't know what they're talking about. So to bring the class up to speeds, create a new ability that makes us immune to damage and hinders for 30 seconds if we suffer a lethal blow.

Liaison 1234 Solution 1 Call the skill berserking rage.
