Most likely it will be new artifacts that do the same thing. I don't think there are really more than one or two artifacts meant to share functionality across classes anyway. We also don't want to encourage blurring the line between tethers.

As I understand it, I can't do anything to a retired player's stuff by their request. It's locked down, and the only reason we leave houses connected is just time/niceness.
