Ages ago there was frequent activity at duiran's pub. So long ago that I don't remember its name though. Player effort can make a location popular, but without that effort it always reverts to locations that attract people for reasons such as: …
Are you installing it the way the instructions say? The first time I loaded PS I ignored them and use module manager instead, but it doesn't work right if you do that. Lots of weird faults that make no sense. I never got it as far as bashing b…
I'll check it out. I, quite by accident as it is too easy to buy ebooks on a whim during the daily/monthly sale thingies when there $1, read a book in this genre. It was surprisingly good, but when I tried other books in the genre they were rea…
The blood sweat and tears argument can be kind of frustrating, at least to someone that has already been there and done that (multiple times), and now just wants to play casually and still compete.
You don't even need to do that much if you're particularly clueless with mudlet. See the screenshot below. Create the trigger. Check the highlight checkbox. Use the GUI to select the highlight colour.
As for evil vs good - I struggle to play an evil character for long periods when the flavour of evil is the stereotypical psychopath. A few months is okay, and after that it is draining.
I've played a few 'hero' characters, and I slip in…

Most of PS is fine, but the enemy aff tracking part, not so much - large amounts of it is written directly into the triggers rather than into functions that the triggers call, which make it a headache to tweak.
Not so much a theme as the names I've given them over the years.
Ozone - it was protecting me. Purely a curing system, back when offense was manual-able Labrador - cos without it I can't get around Aetolia - this one was when I delve…
Obviously, not many people voted so it's hard to draw conclusions. People keep saying, in the forum and ooc clans, that first aid is good but they don't use it. Almost no one that I know of (just a couple of exceptions such as Riluo) activ…
As far as I know, Mudlet does the JSON stuff out of the box. Correct me if I'm wrong, but other clients don't offer the same GMCP experience as Mudlet - at least not without doing some wizardry first.
It also depends on the players that are members. You can still have a lot of fun and do a lot with an inactive order, especially if there is still a player behind the god that just isn't around much, but can still be 'booked in' by the players …
Regarding affliction classes. You pretty much have to script to track the target's afflictions in Aetolia. It's very easy to do here, but because it is easy to do, combat has been balanced around near-perfect target tracking, so your attacks need to…
The mage classes are different enough from the legacy Achaean mage. You'll still recognise plenty of the abilities, but a fair bit of effort was put into making the offense more active, with bridging moves rather than a choice between straight damag…
Right. It comes down to what stage you're at in your life. As a poor student I would have earned it in game. As a working single guy on a decent income, I sold credits instead. Now that I have a kid, I don't have the money for credits or the t…

May I ask the reason for that? Bashing for non-xp rewards is integral in other games (commodity farming). Is it possible to trade between the two - perhaps on the turn in quests there is a choice of reward, extra gold vs extra exp, but not…
