Considering his opinion on it at the time, it always amuses me that the one good thing Iesid got out of the Moghedu situation was meeting Zaila. They're wonderful to one another, despite how thorny they can both be.

Aisei is a splendid character. She takes after the rest of her family while maintaining an individual charm that makes it hard for Iesid to ever be grumpy with her for longer than several seconds.
