Ink and quill/brush or charcoal are the methods available for purchase in-game, but really it's up to you. If you want to describe it as being burned into the paper with a poker, more power to you!

I find brie and smoked salmon is very very nice, but those are both fairly specific flavours. I can't really see myself enjoying brie with something sweet.
