Ideally it'd be more like Syssin where the two current skills would lose a bunch of stuff to the third skillset/some other skills might be split up and mild revamps made to add a greater variety and a few fluff skills.
Given that the time that elapses during roleplay usually doesn't really make sense compared to the actual amount of time that elapses in game it's probably safe to suspend a little disbelief in so far as time as a concept goes.

It's a good idea if crown is going to stay. I don't think you can really argue that. Unless you're content to just live without it a cheaper option or a way to progress towards it incrementally would be a good thing.
