    @Teani It's called a gemstone globe and is made of shell, stone, and other bits and baubles :) I managed to claim it it from my grandmama when all the other grandchildren seemed to forget about it because they were too focused on the 52'' flat screen and pool table.

    You can find them in department stores and in various catalogs. I've wanted one for a long time now. Pricy but totally worth it.
