    Okay so: Burst. It's a Bladefire empowerment. You hit someone with burst, and like, a few seconds later it 'bursts' and they take a bit psychic damage. Burst had a synergy though. If you hit with burst again as it was charging, it would instantly discharge and hit everybody in the room with the damage except the Templar and their protected ally.

    You can imagine how this works with arc when you have, say, seven people on one side and maybe seven on the other, remembering that arc applies venoms/empowerments if you have enough of them on the weapon.

    Of course, now there's a cooldown on burst dealing damage, so hence, old arcburst. New arcburst is... the same as using burst by itself. So not very interesting.

    Oh that's funny. Horrible, but funny. There were some stupidgreat team combos that you used to be able to do. Double pit, enfeeblerate, coordinated thornsprays, battlecry chains, vengeance bombs...but never firebomb teams, to poor Kylan's perpetual dismay.

    I can't imagine how bad Templar used to be since I haven't played anywhere near as long as you guys have, but it had gems. For example, until maybe December 2012, the Blastwave release (fire damage to all in room) DID NOT CONSUME bladefire charge. Releases were eq-less balance-less actions. 

    Or when Keroc threw in the new masteries around the same time, Javelin throwing consumed balance but didn't require it. So you could spam throw a javelin 20 times and kill anything - you'd just have to live with like, a minute balance recovery time afterwards.
