I'm trying to finish a commission and last night I hit my tablet pen tip in a certain way that it reset the settings that make my lines smooth, tapered and flowing instead of blocky and angled.

The way I usually fix this isn't working.

Kitten's sick and I'm a mess.

Edit1: Benjimen, my new kitten who is like, the best brother ever for my tripod, is probably going to die. I am heartbroken. I am waiting to hear from the vet. As of last night he started throwing up and today wasn't eating, drinking, or using the litterbox beyond sitting in it. He's only 6 months old. I feel like I'm cursed. Vet ran a bunch of tests and he's got an infection in the abdomen, peritonitis, and they aren't certain if it's septic or not. It's spontaneous, there are no signs of any injury or leak. It isn't fair. The vet's really pushing surgery ($5000-7000 and 20% survival rate) which isn't fair or financially feasible, and even with antibiotics it might be too late so I might be losing him too, and it's not fair, it's too soon, we've only had him for four months, he's just a sweet kitten who loves his brother and has the best purr and I don't even know what to do with myself right now.

Edit2: There was nothing they could do, there was a rupture and they're euthanizing him. My poor little boy. I feel like I've failed them.

Internet connection is so terrible.. Unable to stay logged in for more than 10 minutes consecutively, ever.

Only having power for like 8 hours a day, the rest dependent on generators that may or may not be working.

90% of my RP being interrupted, cut short, forced to pause, or just not happening.

Can't bash. Can't even kill elementals in my haven.

I almost lost a kitten to that a year ago. Vet said there was about 2 hours in it before it would have been too late. Honestly, we had no idea it was that serious. Don't blame yourself

I am deeply sorry for your loss, @Areka. Like @Piper said though, he lived a short life full of love and happiness which is more than most cats out there receive.

My rant, which is incredibly minor by comparison, is having to start my day by arguing with Comcast online about my internet bandwidth and speed (incredibly slow with a download speed of 0.28 mb/s and just dropping constantly). I tell the technician that I've already done all the troubleshooting steps since I'm very familiar with networking troubleshooting, set up, configuration, etc and have pretty much narrowed it down to the cables outside of my home suffering from some form of degradation. The technician argues with me at length about how it's my modem and because it's DOCSIS 2.0 instead of the new 3.0, which is how he's trying to justify my internet dropping constantly when that's not true at all and I call him out on it, especially when he tries to say that my internet is fine because he can ping me, which I would hope he'd able to do so since I'm talking to him online (not to mention, a ping isn't indicative of anything since he's just sending small little packets of data). It took me dropping the connection with him, giving him a scathing review and calling Comcast directly to get a technician who knew what I was actually talking about, agreed with me completely, and is sending a technician to check my lines tomorrow. Gave that tech a glowing review. Wasn't even because he agreed with me when I already did all the troubleshooting, it was mainly because he didn't argue/betlittle with his users and gave good customer support. As someone who used to be in the same exact shoes, it's a hard, stressful position but I know managers pay attention to those reviews and I hope that kid gets something good from it.

Work. I love having a job and making money, but I hate my job, for various reasons, largely due to my inability to really be a people person without constantly stressing myself out and the fact that success at my job is based on the whim of grown children who can't act in a mature manner. To top it all off is the fact that to get a better job would require me taking on a huge amount of debt, which just adds on to my stress. There may be a glimmer of hope, but I wouldn't be sure until later in the year, which means I'd need to suffer several more months of my job.

That moment when you go to take rent out and were expecting more money in your account. What happened? You might ask yourself that, especially since you budget your paychecks for the whole month. Nope, its not you. They just forgot to add in all the overtime you accumulated thus cutting a massive amount you were not depending on but was going to be a pleasant buffer. Thanks. I love that so much.

I love having six bucks last me a week. I'm just thankful I recalled to fill my bus pass up with enough to last a week and a half in advance.
