Subj: Celani/God separation

Hey folks,

We're making a bit of an internal structure change to how Gods work, and we're letting you know so you don't get confused when you see a lot of new Celani about.

So in the past, Gods logged into their God character like you would log into your characters. Moving forward, they will now be logging only into their Celani characters. From there, they can choose to adopt their assigned God role whenever they want to roleplay (similar to how Guides work), dropping back to their Celani when they're done.

Our purpose here in this is to create a clear distinction between an in-character God role, and an out-of-character admin/developer role. For org leaders: You can continue to send messages to your patrons for now.

    I think it is a nice change to have a clear distinction between an RP role, and a developer role, it will also help create better opportunities for customer service and less in-character work, so people are not pestering someone involved in RP with messages and tells for non RP things.

    Im sure its a bit of a change, but I am pretty pleased to see this, and hope it is as well as it sounds for all of the hard working volunteers up in the pools!

    This is a good change, but does that also mean that more than one Celani will have the ability to hop onto a single god for RP?

    We'll be assigning god roles as we always have, no worry there.

    Some of those are new/in training and some are playing God roles. I'd rather not explicitly connect Celani to their gods, even though a number will probably be pretty obvious.

    You don't have to. Just message your Patron and it'll go to the right person. The only people who need to message Celani directly are mortal volunteers.

    Celani should be considered OOC entities, unless they are interacting directly with the game (appearing in-room, doing fun events, etc.), so just treat us like babby administrators!
