The problem with giving higher blood rank people bonuses in pvp or pve should be obvious though. It can and will make balancing vampires a nightmare. Heck, there was a time long, long ago when blood rank did seriously impact the strength of vampire abilities. It was possible to do a great amount of bashing without health/moss and rely on mend alone, and frenzy hit much harder depending on how high up the chain you were. It's not a matter of balance maybe having been skewed, it outright -was-.
Ultimately, it's going to be hard to make blood rank matter in a meaningful way without, well...skewing balance in some way. Better to do what @Tiur is suggesting and base it all on rp/utility/flavor abilities. No one reasonable wants to go back to how blood rank used to work.

First off, I believe that when people post logs of their roleplay on the forums, its because they are going "Look at me. Look at how cuul I can write. - So others can learn from them
- Because they're proud of what they accomplished
- Because they pulled off something not everybody else playing can
- To show others they can fight so that more people will fight them
- Because sometimes they're just downright entertaining
- To help establish a reputation
- So that they can receive criticism and learn where they can improve
- To compliment whoever it was they were fighting/say thanks for a good fight
If you replace combat logs/fight with RP, the motives behind posting them are exactly the same, yet there's only an issue with one here. Strange.

I'd post logs of the roleplay I do and the conversations Z has but I can't logically make myself believe that it would be for the good of the game or for me.

Secondly, I don't trust the forums or playerbase to not demand me for RP, and then when I say no, they get all cry baby on me. I've already had players in the past go out of their way to make sure I can't play the game or have fun... I really don't need to feel that again.

Just to be clear, in case this was lost along the way - the crown is not going anywhere, as per the rejected classlead report. Everyone is free to continue to brainstorm ideas that could be used to approach the topic again in the future, as there's no reason to close the thread down, but I would also not expect any of the proposed resolutions to see their way into the game any time soon.

Yeah, I mean, in most countries where the weather is typically warmer, yes. Cold beer is preferred. But tell me, you come in out of weather that's typically a drizzle, it's colder 9 months out of the year, and the local climate is either rain, rain, snow, or fog, you're not gonna want something warm instead of cold? It's why the nordic peoples drank their mead -warm- instead of cold, and wore a lot of FUR. >.>

If anything, we need to remove the cost of credits/lessons to apprentice someone in the neutral monk class. There's no reason someone (a darkie) should have to pay an additional 40 credits/200 lessons to get monk just because Lifer side holds the monopoly (Sentaari) on the monk class.Cool, then we can remove the syssin credit cost too, since shadow side holds the monopoly there! Or maybe they balance each other out so we don't need to remove either cost..?
This came off far snarkier than I meant it to, I really am okay with either both being removed or both being kept.

While I love the name and concept, this isn't exactly a thing that will happen. Shadow side already has access to Monk as a "neutral class".
