As I roleplay more and more after my return over a year ago, I've grown to appreciate just how much variety of emote/roleplay styles there are. Everyone emphasises things differently, writes and presents with a different ethos and focus--how much editorializing, how much utilitarianism, etc, etc. Qel is written with a really unique blend of utility and prose. Sometimes, when it enhances the mood, there's an editorial slant and it really just immedialy tethers me to the body language, reaction, and feel of Qel as a character in any given scene.
From a character standpoint, I always enjoy when Qel and Tet are in a scene together. They're like oil and water in so many ways, but all it seems to do is drag the complexities of the two of them out to shine. They highlight each other's contrasts, and yet, astoundingly, get along. I really love roleplaying with Qel as a real person (you) and a character (the...character.) My only real regret is that I often have something interrupt our scenes that makes it so I have to leave. As much fun as it is to batman someone mysteriously, I feel bad having to cut stuff short constantly.
tl;dr nasty lil slime goblin with weird teeth is A+
A refreshingly unique character. Not afraid to color outside the lines with bug n' gut crayons and still manages to turn every interaction into a singular sort of art. Rinn is a standoffish sort by nature, but there's perhaps only one other person he is more fascinated with than Qelres. I always find myself grinning at our scenes. The fact that they are so different is delightful.
Maeve and Roux's interactions have been such an interesting up and down ride. Friendly and vexatious by turns, I've enjoyed all of them. I wish we got the chance to interact more, it may be a timing thing but I am ready for it.
I was really glad that the auction provided us with a tangible reason to carve out time though because it was the first real sit down rp we've gotten the chance to exchange and it was delightful. Well-written emotes, a fun character to interact with, and here's to hoping that we get the chance for more shenanigans in the future.
Seurimas was a surprising find for me. Literally just appeared out of nowhere! The first time I saw him was during one of Reave's encounters on the rooftops and he scared the unicorns out of her. 😂 It was a short, but memorable interaction and I'm enjoying your character's acceptance of conflict rp. Hope to have more experiences with you!
Lenoriel. Lena. Reave had the most difficult time getting acquainted with her newest introverted guildmate and there were a lot of misconceptions to be had from that. However, they did eventually "connect", even after a bit of an abrasive start, and I'm enjoying the rp they have had so far. All of the little quirks about Lenoriel definetly shine through the longer you're around her, and I am thrilled how much she'll play along with different scenarios - yes, even @Tetchta 's surprise gift 😂
I definetly recommend getting to know the hedgehog as you call her 💙
Galilei! Is there anyone else, in this whole game, who can match you for atmosphere and sheer poetic sensibilities? I think not.
Folks I talk to will know I'm prone to gushing about you. Your style when it comes to your writing is not quite like any I've seen before, and it can be so many things as needed: intense, soft, vulnerable, guarded, lively. It is a special talent, to be able to so completely match the tone of your style to the tone of the scene. It feels seamless, and it creates these lovely, sweeping stories. It's the reason I've always been able to write with you for hours, long after I would get exhausted writing with someone else. Everything just flows.
Writing all things with you - joy and heartache both - has always been a treat. I'm very glad you're a part of the game, and a part of the story we're telling.
She's a prickly, irreverent, temperamental, small-statured but big-hearted (don't you dare insinuate either one where she can hear it), incredibly nosy hedgehog of a Syssin.
