I have been gone for a long while and I don't think I'm coming back any time soon, but I wanted to check in here since I've shared in the past and I'm someone who wonders what ever happened to people. So here is some closure.
I am doing a lot better, not great, but far better than I was when I first left. I have better doctors, better action plans for my health, and a more stable living situation. I am being gentle with myself and getting better sleep. I dropped so much from my life and that was and still is very difficult but has made all the difference in getting my stress levels to a place that doesn't seem impossible to tackle.
I reread rp logs sometimes and consider logging in again because I miss writing with so many of you beautiful souls, but I know how slippery that slope is and that it would be unhealthy for me to do so. Boundaries and awareness are so important, and I'm taking the refrain 'Real Life Comes First' very seriously.
These are not empty platitudes, the character development and emotional labor I worked through as Teotl helped me grow and learn as their Player, and so you have all forever impacted my life.
I hope you are taking care of yourselves and each other the best way you know how.
Xavin looks up to Kalena. A lot. She is a great friend and an even better guildmaster. Xavin has been a bit worried to approach her lately, though a lot of that is in his head from the whole little-bit-of-treason thing. But I don't think I would be enjoying nearly as much as I am now if Kalena hadn't taken Xav in to the Templar. Thank you for being so much fun!
Benedicto is someone Xavin looks up to and considers a very close friend, though their relationship is more cordial and business related than anything else. On top of everything, Bene is one of Xav's motivators, particularly when it comes to becoming a better fighter. I'm thrilled that you've been back around!
First let me say that I thoroughly enjoy the stories we have weaved together. Starting back from the Monolith War where Inkh came out of nowhere with his colored quill and held city leaders in their respective corners while negotiations were had! The mutual respect and pseudo-friendship that formed at the start of the War of Night was effortless, the devastation of the perceived betrayal was insurmountable! Thank you for always being a good sport, be it having venom spewed at your or giving out some of the most well thought out answers I have ever encountered.
Your writing and story telling is immaculate, even if you did mastermind world stealing borrowing precious reserves with no intention or way of returning them! No matter how hard things get for Inkh, I think he'll find his way through it with his quill and parchment!
IT has been a pleasure to watch Emhyra grow, though I don't think we got nearly the amount of interaction I would have liked. I'm glad to have you around!
As a small-brained person, I would really like an ELI5 breakdown of the Djinn Augury prophecy thing.
I was debating whether to agree to this or not but I think since it's mostly "solveable" already that it's ok to go into.
And it shall come to pass that when the song of heaven lies forgotten, So shall the people of the sun cry tears of grief. Ere despair there will be hope, And the three shall convey upon them their solemn charge.
This refers to the Djinn forgetting the Heavenly Peal, and the Triad bestowing the task of finding it again.
By the five shall they seek the peal, And know paradise.
The "five" here refers to Paimri, the Djinn fortress in Rahiela.
When the gates of sanctuary have opened, Light and fire shall be as one. Thousands shall die by ancient accord, And fell sorcery shall be vanquished.
This refers to the ancient war with the Indorani.
And in the Age of Midnight, War shall ravage the holy lands. The devil-black shall shirk His war-made bindings, And passion shall be snuffed by She Who Burns.
This refers to Yvalamon getting free and attacking the Djinn, as well as Seelis being their god of death.
And when the spine of reality is mending, From ruin shall come madness. The grains of sand shall fall more swiftly, And order shall shatter ancient pacts.
Odravh fixing the Planar Spiral, ruin (Ruin) being the catalyst for Odravh and, consequently, the shapeshifter madness, as well as order breaking the pact between Prime and Fire due to time realigning (as theorised during Jezreth's ascension event).
And when the black pyre flees the wrath of empty night, And sundered time bequeathes a bounty broken, Five will come and six will fall, What follows after stained by war.
The black pyre is Yvalamon, empty night here is Severn (same language used for Ohlsana = Shadow). The five are Niuri's five elder guises, the six are those five dying + Niuri herself.
Then open will the violet eye of twilight, Ancient evil from its slumber woken, Sibilant, its clarion call, Seeping in through breach and bore.
This one is the war of night of course.
And yea, then shall the mother of shadow reach out and touch the land, And all the light of all the world shall be as darkness. All the clouds shall rain tears of blight and poison, And hope shall wither on the vine of despair.
And this one

There are 3 more verses to this but they are as yet lost IC!
Playing Emhy's guildmaster is so hard because Emhy is the type of character that makes you want to relax and be goofy with all of her antics. The hoursdays that Kale and Emhy spent running the furnace to make bells... the only reason that was enjoyable at all was because of Emhy being a coal monster. Seeing her grow through this war has really been an amazing treat. She knows when to be playful and mischievous and she knows when it is time to be serious and straightforward.
There is nothing that is asked of Emhy that she isn't willing to do, though she finds her ways to make it lighthearted. No mangoes for the Pentarch, foot shaped sandwiches, throwing fruit at people to make them your friend. There are far too many moments to list them all off of the times that Emhy has brought a smile to my face.
Oh gosh. Emmy loves Kalena. I think the most absolute heartwrenching moment during the event was hearing "For Duty and the dusk" I will never forget the absolute feeling of seeing that. At that moment I think she would have done anything to bring her Aunt Pentarch back. Kales is definitely one of the people that Emhyra fights hard to make proud. Thank you so much for such a role model of a character.
Emhyra looks up to Bene a lot. Especially since becoming Akkari, she's definitely still intimidated by him but will follow him anywhere! I, the player, absolutely love Bene and everything he stands for. I don't know what the Hammer would do without him.
