We have...what, 20 shops per city now? So 100 shops total, plus the refugee ones. Not counting NPC ones or market stalls. Plus another 40-80 shops? We don't have the playerbase on Aet to -need- that many. I'm not saying it needs to be an exclusive club that you have to wait RL years to get into--a few more shops per city is fine, but I think there is such a thing as too many. Despite what Moi said about cures and such already being at the bottom, price-wise, if you have 180 shops in the world all filled with competing merchant-types, it -will- devalue everything else that can be undercut. It isn't really about need. You have what, like fifty shops yourself? TBH all I really hear is 'I have soandso amount of shops. I don't want competition.'
In that vein, if we're going to add a ton of shops, IMO should also lower taxes, since most shops barely break even consistently as is, if that, even if they're properly stocked to the brim with assorted items.
And a random tip, you can make one trigger for diag tracking. Check out config simplediag I think.Woah. WOAH. Thank you. ^^
Sounds like the sometimes enraging randomness of Magic the Gathering to me.If you're relying on good luck to keep your MTG decks going, I'm not sure what to say. Part of deck building is making sure the flow is consistent. Even things like mana-screw/flood shows bad shuffling and wrong ratios. Sure, chance will eventually give you a crap setup, but MTG has mulligans to address this.
This has been brought up multiple times in this games history and ultimately it's wrong. There are a lot of people in the past and a few now who code their own systems and do well with them (I'm apparently mid tier \o/) and I know jack about coding. Reading a few help files, asking a few questions, etc, will get you a long ways. Most of the time people will flat out give you an example of how to do something if you just ask. I mean, maybe you are asking, but you're just asking the wrong people. I never see anyone use the KLL clan and I never see questions about coding (or even fighting) pop up on raiders.
To keep on topic, I find this discussion about PK to be rather interesting. The problems that plague PVP in all the IRE games are very similar, and thus can be chalked up to bad design decisions, ultimately. The idea of having to be a trained computer programmer to enjoy killing other players in a fantasy online game is extremely dated and needs to go away. You fix that aspect of the game, and like it or not, way more people would likely participate.
