You know, the more I think about it the more I wish that if you're going to move Embrace from Sanguis to Corpus, you should probably condense all the Sanguis stuff regarding interacting with progeny into something to put into Corpus, let people with Hematurgy have it too, then just completely redo Sanguis, to be honest.
That would probably require more work than anyone is willing to give it though, I would imagine. I guess we will have to start small.

I would gladly do that if I knew what exactly people needed help with or where they were. I'm not sure what you run into but all I ever see is "it's hard". What's hard? What exactly do you not understand? Some of it, most of it, none of it?Mine would be, 'This is what I do, do you have a better suggestion?"
That kind of request is intimidating, understandably.

But point being is how many of them people still play? .. As said thats a completely different discussion and nothing to do with combat at present. Life side really doesnt have the number of combatants and most of them dont wish to do combat just to get steam rolled every time.

But this isn't a tactic. It's a derpy one-off that people are freaking out about. It's like Xiuh trying to spam shatter until someone runs out of mending. Tactics like this you just eye-roll and counter until the person realizes they aren't going to get anywhere and actually start fighting for real.
Re it being a bug - I frankly always thought it was pretty funny, but we bugged it years ago (and several times since) and were given the eh, that's fine. I mean, you can always put down an icewall to the same effect, minus the stalwart.

By using your own logic, Trager (parry head/parry torso) someone could just shield and avoid the damage.
This is the typical forums mountain-out-of-a-molehill thing, where everyone freaks out about something they haven't seen before, decrying it as OP until they figure out how to deal with it, and then it subsides into silence. This happens every few weeks about skill x, y, z.
Re swat: You aren't progressing your momentum while doing it and it's easy to avoid - just shield or apply mass. All damage momentum is then lost as the Carni has to use force again or break your shield - and force has a 3rd person message, so it fairly clearly telegraphs it coming. Flat damage only works as a killing tactic if someone can keep it up consistently. A single round lost and the target can heal right back up. See @Nalor citing 10 minutes of fighting against it (clearly it wasn't killing him).
@Draiman - I was referring to Carni skills as a whole. There's some funky scaling at high-level str/arti that ramps up the damage a lot. 3k for swat is obviously too high, but I think it's a bit silly and knee-jerk (something we're prone to annoyingly too often on forums) to just scream nerf without even posting str and weapon stats, especially since we already KNOW there's some problems with scaling damage amounts.

Right but bruteforce only lasts a few moments and costs eq to activate. If you see a Carni put it up, just shield. Tada. Won't be autobashed.
Kendri, your audit is rather low, so you'll be taking a lot of blunt damage. Have a monk hit you and you'll see just as high numbers.
Edit: to address Carni damage overall - it scales badly right now. Super high str and arti weapon runes can make the damage very high. However, base amounts are meh. A lot of us have discussed this already, but it's not simply "x skill is op" but rather the long-standing "artis scale badly" issue that we see crop up in classes all the time.

You slam painfully into the wall blocking the exit.The Fact a carni can block west, then swat you west to get that high of a damage is the dumb side of the skill..
As said before I spent around 10 mins fighting aldric and thats ALL he was doing, swatting me into his own block.. he didnt use warhound or ANY other skills.. The class just got a pretty neat overhaul but yet ALL Carnifexs are just abusing one skill.. Which technically could use a 20/30 second cooldown per person as why do you need to swat someone more then once every 30ish seconds? You only really should be swatting people to get them out of the room which the skill is intended for, or to slow them down a little.. not to be spammed 110%
And before anyone says owt, As mentioned before in my first post.. Not trying to be an unicorn and thats my end of the matter as dont want to derail short questions!

Aetolia is not imperium though. Most shops here sell (and make a nice profit off of) crafted stuff. More shops doesn't really cut into that - if someone likes my particular aesthetic for panties they are going to buy them even if areka is selling her own style for half the price. I've always sold my crafted stuff at a higher price than the norm and they still sell at a frequent rate because the people who like my stuff are fine paying 200 or 300 gold more.
Utility stuff like cures and enchants basically already sell at only a little above cost with cures going for 1 gold. We've already reached equilibrium there and adding more shops isn't going to change those prices. Making the merchant skills accessible to everyone already drove the prices down years ago.
People in aetolia can and will go buy stuff for rp and aesthetics which makes our economy different from other ire games which I mentioned in my first post. Having more crafting choices to pick from just means that people will be able to customize and play pretend more easily either as a merchant and crafter getting to design and sell or as a shopper finding the perfect outfit and accessories and props to fit their character and rp. That's a good and desirable thing.

I think you're awesome Zsadist, and I enjoy playing Aetolia with you. That being said, I clicked disagree on your post. Here's why. I enjoy not being in a guild, I also enjoy putting all my effort into my House. That's why I'm permanently House rank 10, and I seem to be permanently city rank 1. I also don't like the idea of Bloodloch's leaders being in charge of the Dominion and thus the Houses themselves, because of how poor of a job they seem to do at causing meaningful interaction beyond 'Lesser is up, lets go pk'. This system isn't perfect, though. I agree with you that something needs to change because of the shrinking playerbase, but I don't think I agree with your suggestion. It is an interesting one though.I think you're misunderstanding my thoughts. I'm not saying join a guild. I'm saying there is absolutely no real point to the Houses. At least from my perspective. They don't really offer anything major to the game other than to provide a faction of which to side with when it comes to Dominion related events. As for BL leader's being in charge of the Dominion, they aren't in charge of the Dominion. The only one in charge of the Dominion is Abhorash, the BL leaders are just like me and you, pawns in the grand scheme of things. Yes, alot of the interaction we see is "Lesser! Lets go pk." but that is BECAUSE we're split 4 different ways in 4 different factions with 4 different ideals and 4 different sets of minor laws. If we were all in a single organization with only one route to communicate by, I think there would be a fair bit more communication other than "Lesser! PK! GO!"
I'm not saying join a guild, i'm not saying that you don't put effort into your House. My opinion is that, to me, the ideas of Houses are kinda self destructive when it comes to a city-wide standpoint and I don't feel they are absolutely necessary anymore.
