Preferred Font

Simply, what's your preferred font on your MU* client?

Have you figured out how to escape the need for using a uniformly spacing font?

Since I've found Consolas, I can't find another fixed-width font that beats it for readability and convenience. I've found interesting things for titles, headers, and not-MU* projects, but nothing for gaming. I've come to dislike serif fonts after the zealot era of Reux's PvP, as it seemed harder and harder to comfortably read.
I mean, you know, an amount.

  • Courier New, 9pt.

I can't use a font that isn't monospaced because I like it when everything lines up neatly.

I agree with Courier New for my Mudlet window, on the rare occasion I use Mudlet instead of the IRE client these days.

I always use Consolas/Inconsolata for code though.
You say to Slyphe, "You're so freaking smart."

    "^," Slyphe agrees with you.
    Reux
  • DraimanDraiman Dr. Drai
Courier New. There is no better font.
"You ever been divided by zero?" Nia asks you with a squint.

    Xavin
  • SerriceSerrice the Black Fox
Courier New, 11 pt., in bold.

Which you have to do with triggers in mudlet because wtf mudlet.

  • AishiaAishia Queen Bee
bitstream vera sans mono 4 life.
  • MordtriusMordtrius St Louis MO
    Dejavu Sans Mono here.

  • After trying several different fonts at 9 point, I'm convinced that Bitstream Vera Sans Mono is the absolute best choice. Everything else is just too clumped together or illegible at that size, but Bitstream Vera works perfectly with great spacing.

    As an example:

Well that's what I use too.

... but that's the default and such is my way. Raz once boggled at me for never having set any color codes for clans or anything at all hahaha.

Oh, I love colors. I like them so much, in fact, that I have customized ANSI colors! They're less garish and more natural-looking than the default!

I dunno if you know, @lait, but Aetolia now comes in 256 colors. So, you're not ACTUALLY stuck with the stock unless you want to be.

Really? I haven't seen it at all. I know there's a config xterm option but it doesn't seem to actually do anything.

  • All clans/whatnot of mine are also just plain white. Says and tells are the default cyan. I can't do the crazy color mixups D:

You should know that I basically bring up ansi color settings with people once every 4-5 months because I'm so interested in what other people use.
