Flintbeard's Return!
Enraged at the festive cheer permeating the continent, Flintbeard has returned and Ironbeard has been taken hostage once again! With our favourite Dwarf locked up in the lair, Ironbeard's apprentice has had to take up the task of delivering giftbags, and this just won't do at all.
The Flintbeard's Lair dungeon is open again until the end of the year! This is a three-player instance with special bosses you will need to defeat in order to rescue Ironbeard and defeat Flintbeard. You will find the entrance located at v18093 and you can ENTER LAIR from there. Remember, you'll want to ENTER LAIR <leader> to join the instance of leader, ENTER LAIR by itself will generate a new instance under your name and you won't be able to join your friends if they already made one too.
Defeating Flintbeard comes with a fame line, and as gratitude for rescuing him, Ironbeard will give all three of you a giftbag. You can only receive the giftbag once per Howling, and this shows up on COOLDOWNS.
This year the lair has a brand new, optional boss to take on once Flintbeard himself has fallen: the grinch! When the malignant Dwarf falls, push the grinch statue in the lair to summon the new boss. Defeating the grinch has its own fame line, and awards more of the Flintbeard's autograph currecy as a prize.
Speaking of autographs, Gilbert Ratsmoke, Flintbeard's #1 fan and stalker, has expanded his wares this year. Find him at the lair's entrance where you can exchange Flintbeard's autographs for all of the original wares, plus the following new additions:
- Transmute beetles for each armour type with Celesmas/festive themes.
- A bottle of Flintbeard's moonshine; this refills to 5 sips every Howling and has a chance to increase your drunkenness more than the drink itself does.
- A festive baby turkey wearing a fluffy white beard (minipet)
- Figurines of Ironbeard and Flintbeard to add to your collection
- A lustrously bushy brown beard; wearing this beard will allow you to use the BEARDFLEX emote, and it works similarly to an obscuring veil, transforming you into "the gloriously-bearded <name>".
