Need a hand?

Because it still makes me laugh every time...

@Aloli asked Eoros to deliver a gift to @Benedicto ...so being helpful, she made sure to give it as soon as she could...

In the Templar training area:

You have emoted: Eoros is attempting to hide something
behind her back in an effort to conceal it now, "do
you know this is coming or is this a surprise.." she
asks, "I didn't quite get the details."

Cocking an eyebrow, Sir Benedicto Silverain says, "I'm
quite sure I have no idea what you're about to hand me.
"
You say, "Surprise it is then!"

You have emoted: Eoros tugs the lacquered minipet cage
out from behind her and holds it up, "your wife asked
me to deliver, probably safer than the bees or a bird."

Benedicto tries to peer through the bars of the cage.
"Another pet?" He rumbles, curiosity getting the
better of him.

You have emoted: Eoros tilts her head down to peer at
the cage, "ah, sir, it looks to be a..." she pauses,
brows furrowing into a slight frown, "An arm. A very
bright, gold one." She holds it out almost delicately.

"A what?" Benedicto's eyes lift and narrow as they
regard you.

You have emoted: Eoros lifts it higher, "An arm" she
repeats, "I have no idea where or what or who it came
from."

Benedicto stares at you in silence for a moment, then,
his expression unchanging, he asks in a level voice.
"Knight Kavoros, to what use would I put someone's
severed and gilded arm?"

You have emoted: Eoros finally tilts her head back to
peer at Benedicto, she blinks staring for a moment,
before a frown creases her lips and she looks back
down at the cage and back to Benedicto, "Well, sir, I
think your wife is telling you that you need an extra
hand."

At the same time that it's said anyway, Sir Benedicto
Silverain says, "And if you say to 'lend me a hand'
you'll be mucking out the stables for a month."

Benedicto glares angrily at you.
You open your mouth but say nothing.

You say to Benedicto, "I did say extra, not lend.

Continuing to glare at you, Benedicto responds slowly, "That's a very minute distinction, Knight
Kavoros."

Eoros jostles her hand, wiggling the lacquered minipet cage, "but a distinction
none the less?" She supplies, her features smoothing out as she shifts from one foot to the other.

Benedicto issues a small sigh and resignedly holds his
hands out to accept the cage. "It would at least be
helpful to know if this is an appendage I have removed
myself from a bitter enemy or something." He mutters.

You have emoted: Eoros nods at Benedicto, "that would
be quite hard to keep track of, sir, as they are
numerous in your lo--experience" she amends, finally
handing over the lacquered minipet cage, "she gave me
a hug, I had to."

Benedicto tilts a lacquered minipet cage upwards to
get a better look at the supine, gilded limb. He
jostles the cage, attempting to glean more details
about the appendage before he lowers it with another
sigh. "Well, your responsibility is discharged and I
will forgive your poor attempt at humor." He glances
back up at you.

You have emoted: Eoros now silver gaze dances in
amusement at Benedicto, "if you want entertaining
humor, you have the wrong sister" she says,
"unfortunately I think I've acquired our fathers."

Benedicto nods his head. "Very well. I go now to join
our comrades."

At least now, if someone asks Benedicto for his digits... you might say it could be handy.

I completely forgot to get back to this little scene! I'm sorry. There was more that I planned but... life keeps me busy.

The story behind this part is that a long time ago @Benedicto gave Slyphe the head of an enemy who attacked Aloli while she was with Slyphe, training.  Slyphe gave it to Aloli and told her to thank Benedicto for avenging her. However,  this was such a terrifying gift to her because Damariel taught her to respect the dead, all in once piece,  and bury them or burn them in the pyre. She respected it anyways and went to thank him for it.

Eventually, she understood the point of it and what it meant for Knights, so she started to send him the preserved heads of people she killed too. But why stop at heads when there's a golden arm?
