Everyone is conscientious about each other's feelings out of the game these days, and it really makes me frown because it highly influences the way people play their characters. I have honestly seen and have been attempted to be coerced into playing nicer, which is 80% a factor why I don't particularly seek out several individuals for RP anymore.
I don't think we should shy away from the darker aspects of what makes Aetolia so appealing. It is the Midnight Age after all, where Shadow's intrusion onto the land is a very real thing, where brothels and corruption and flagrant slavery is a thing. Such concepts shouldn't be allowed to take a backseat just because it skirts along people's sensitivities. I do think there needs to be a balance, but it shouldn't be outright discouraged.

Personally, I would be happy to just have some active gods so that our orders aren't basically dead.Plea for this to be more active gods. There are six gods who are actually actively around, and we are all around pretty much daily, at least briefly. I interact with my people when I can, but as with yourself and others, peak time is not when I can be around, so it's a very mixed bag on who I can find when I'm available, and whether I have something to start with them, or catch something to interact with when they are about.
I understand that this might not qualify as active enough for you, but you've heard from Brax how busy he is, I am working two jobs (and while the second isn't a lot of hours, the first is consistently 47/48 hours every week) with two small children at home, one in remote schooling, and some other stuff going on too. We're not the only ones with life happening, but still here pretty much every day.
I can't comment on the storyteller idea, as it's really not my place, but keeping the docent matter in mind, I don't know how viable it is.
It is definitely disheartening to come on the forums to see what cool stories you guys are sharing, or memes, or just to kinda feel a little involved in the playerbase and to find a new problem crops up when we've barely taken breath after the mirror releases, but know that we are working on stories (I am personally involved in one involving two gods, and I have my own plans in various stages for some more Order-related things) and we aren't deliberately holding out on you.

Speaking as one of the said leadership roles, we (meaning me and the other players involved) have found that we had th freedom (within limits) to completely shift the direction of the entire org into something that integrates well in the other orgs around it and also enhance the RP and character development around them.
You do not need a Celani or a ritual room. Both can help but are not necessary to build your org's identity or push the roleplay amongst the guild members.
It does take effort, diligence, and time, however. Which requires sometimes taking away from what you immediately want to do and giving back into the org. Which, really, should be something anyone in a leadership role is willing to do anyhow.

I try to look at the good of it. I think it's great that you can still represent a guild without having to invest in their martial style (I can be an axe-wielding barbarian who still venerates Dendara and practices ritualism). I think it's great that a guild has far, far less arbitrary control over your ability to use a class you spent real-life money on. And truth be told, "disrespecting the guild and keeping your class" isn't by any means a problem endemic to modern Aetolia. That has always been possible, it's just that you used to have to attain one more guild rank.
If guild RP feels diluted in any way, I have to attribute it to two factors: The first being what @Stine mentioned, in that guildcentric RP is taking a definitive backseat to citycentric RP. The second being that we do not currently have many players in leadership roles who seem to understand the freedom and flexibility they are given - not a lot of people shaking up the formula, trimming the fat in their orgs, or realizing that you don't need to wait on a helpful Celani to start an event or create some kind of scene within the org.

Hiya. Been a while, but I've been a bit busy working on a few projects the last few months; I've joined a big D&D community during that time and have been recently working on getting onto the official art team. You might see some of my stuff pop up if you watch Arcadum's streams on Twitch (I've been doing fanart and concept work there, and I've been really enjoying watching the streamer games - go give em a watch!).
Anyway, art stuff has sort of become my full-time job now, so my prices have gone up, so you can see those in the first post.

My mom and I stopped by a store to get some groceries today. We were gone for 20 minutes and when we got out, our electric bikes were gone. Stolen. I called the cops to report it (they didn't send anyone out, cause, you know, it's just bikes), when we saw two security guards walking by. Mom went over to them and started explaining what happened.
I talked the the bakers in the pizzeria just by where the bikes were stolen, who said that they saw two younglings walk off with two bikes, so we got a general direction. When I got back out, one of the guards were over by a house and when he returned, he said a person had said they saw two teenagers with two bikes and that they put them in the bike stands outside her apartment complex. The guards and I went over there and we found the bikes!
Plot twist that I learned later this evening. The one who told the guards about the bikes being in the bike stands... that's one of my best friends sister! Gonna go give her a bouquet of flowers and some chocolate tomorrow. She saved our bikes.
So lots of love to the security guards, the pizza bakers and my friend's sister for all the help! And for my sister, who came to check up on us and help us with groceries as soon as she heard what happened.
