Full Version: Naming a bardiche!
Aetolia Forums > The Midnight Age > Idea Box
Grunts
Once my new bank account is set up I'm buying CMUD and making the greatest automated system of all time. But, I could use a cool description for my level 1 bardiche that I got during my tradeins. If anyone is wondering, I decided not to spend any cash on aetolia, but traded in most of my artifacts and Strung is now a rajamala with a flying mount and the bardiche (still have the web boots though). The bardiche must be made better looking, though just how to do this I'm not sure.

Got a description of that?

Some things that come to mind:

1. Soul Seeker
2. Cold of the Night
3. Mercy's End
4. Midnight Serenade
5. Midnight Edge
6. Silent Song
7. Strongarm
8. Bonecutter

This nasty instrument of violence has a simplistic design. Almost like an axe with a long handle, the strong wooden handle of the bardiche is about the height of an average human and crafted from a steel reinforced heavy piece of wood. Its blade is a dull gray steel and has been inscribed with the runes of the Ankyreans, making it a deadly weapon.
It is an Ankyrean artifact, enchanted with the following powers:

It weighs about 10 pounds.
It bears the distinctive mark of Strung Iscariot.
You may use the following commands with this weapon:
swing
hack
Borscin
Pwner.
Avian
Midnight Reaper?
Hikage
Visceration ... it just sounds nasty

Doesn't necessarily need a name so much as a cool description though pickaxe_rune.gif
Avian
Ironfang?

I'm thinking of something dark, evil and metallic. Seems to be able to absorb light from the surrounding area. Or something like that.

Bloodseeker, Melody of Midnight, Dwarf Stomper, Lifebane.

EDIT: Hmm. Why a level 1 bardiche, Strung?
Grunts
Well, Strung is a rajamala now, and his level 1 bastard sword was slower than a whisper but faster than a dwhisper, so I had to either speed it up or slow it down. Since I don't think anyone has actually used the artifact bardiches yet I went with that. pickaxe_rune.gif pickaxe_rune.gif

<3 Strung. He's all about style.
mysterious_stranger
Why raja? Other than for the cool factor
Grunts
I've never played a raja in aetolia before... Strung was always either troll or human, and I used dwhisper exclusively. So I'll play with the opposite kind of race and strategy, which is also a better one anyway I suspect.
osai
how about just plain old.. Pain..
Fenring
I'll write you a magnificent description for a small amount of credits. A paltry sum, even.

Hmm.....

Fearsome and dark, this bardiche seems almost like a brooding predator. With a wicked gleam to it's steel edge, it almost gives the illusion of grinning at you in a violent, frightening manner, and, being about the height of an average person, it's size doesn't soften the outwardly dangerous look to it. Looking much like an axe on a long handle, runes of the Ankyreans are inscribed into the metal part of it body. A tool of primal violence, you surely do not want to cross whoever is wielding it.

happy.gif;;; Feel free to tweak it as you wish, I know it's pretty sucky. I am also aware that it needs to be spell checked. Please, please, please change the last sentence. I can't close descriptions, honestly -sigh- >_>
Fenring
Pfft, fine. Cheapass. I won't bother, then.

How about... The Strunginator?

Widowmaker?

Also, wouldn't it be damnably cool if we can have sort of like a mini RP event for customized weapons upon request? Instead of one day and 'poof', gee ma, I got me level 1 bardiche on me hands.

Sorta like how Ranzou in Achaea RP'ed out his purchase of his pet with help from the admins.
